SLR app update ver. 9.0
turning on the sensor guards solved the flickering problem
i will try that...the guards are a pain in the ass in the dark now just need to find out where to get that done
The bugs in performance are from DeoViewer, which has the same problem. Microsoft removed the HEVC video codec from base installs and now charges .99 cents for it on the Microsoft Store. I downloaded the HEVC extension from microsoft but this didn't fix the issue. Something in DeoViewer's latest upgrade is causing problems with the HEVC codec. Even when I have the codec, performance is as if its not there. If you look down this lane, I'm sure you'll find the solution to the issue. It's not something users can fix. This is why VLC player works, because it comes with the codec out of the box and uses it appropriately unlike Deo.
Also unable to enable hands free mode here. On 9.02, Android. I seem to remember the same thing happening the last time there was a major update as well.

keylox23 If you have developer activated (you need it to sideload the SLR App) you can turn off the guardian in the developer section of the Quest 2 settings.

Ah yes, maybe that's it, need developer mode turned on to be able to switch them independently from each-other.
Things I miss...
My Scripts toggle
When playing a video the info panel that showed up on the left with video description and names of talent. Was easy to just click studio or name to see more without having to backtrack and search.
More videos per page
So will there be a permanent fix for this? Or is the only solution doing the tracking/gaurdian thing. I havent been able to use the app properly because of the guardian, which i usually leave off.

Yes, we are working on fixing it. It's just a bit more complicated than simply rolling back to v8.x . It's more than a cosmetic change and also more than only the app. It would likely be easier if Oculus updated their OS.
Thanks @bruce @Samsonite121 and @Rakly3 for your responses and help!
FYI- Similar to other users, I'm still getting a significant amount of "stuttering/choppiness" when playing downloaded scenes of any file type or size. Using a desktop with Valve Index, only an issue since the update. Not a GPU issue/codec issue/etc.
Also still having issues when selecting downloaded scenes to play- half the time the scene will open up to a black screen and not load, and I have to back out and select the scene to play again. Sometimes takes 2-3 tries before the video actually plays, sometimes more than a dozen tries, sometimes it just does not work at all.
Hoping further updates and bug fixes come soon...this has been a bad one.
Is it just me or are the favorited videos not showing up in the app anymore? Also not able to add videos to favorites unless we open the video, which feels like a step back.
Please fix.
