Yeah, feels like it's setting it up so it's devices they're partnered with and their own future device. I get it, kinda don't... I tried their T Code stuff once, it NERF'd my SR6 and put OSR2 software on it. I don't trust them on their software front now. What if they make a rip of their own version of MFP? Buy it from Yooooi, or have him make something for them. If they're being honest and it's about script piracy and not device exclusivity.

Could well be that in the near future toy manufacturers need to pay for support on SLR, that would need a secure link so that it can't be bypassed.

I'm not quite ready to make that leap. I don't think this is about device exclusivity and I highly doubt that SLR would try to force other toy makers off their platform at scale. It's not inline with past actions taken by SLR nor is it inline with the philosophy under which they operate.

Don't get me wrong - we are really getting screwed over by the MFP block. It's bad for the consumers, and it's bad for innovation. And it's also bad for SLR's business long term as it will open doors for competitors to step in.

Are we going to see the amount of scripts we can stream in a day increase with the change of increasing script security.

Anon1379 Going over the weekend this almost stopped working 2 weeks ago, for a supported device.
How about that for a monthly subscription, 50% down the drain.

quest2mfp I understand your frustration, I've had the thought of canceling my subscription many times, but my problem was more that I wanted to relax after a busy week, I watch a few videos and when I found the right one, my toy just stopped working, what frustration, the script limit was reached again.

I can imagine that all MFP users are extremely annoyed in connection with OSR toys, and for this reason I believe that SLR will find a solution that will satisfy everyone. I think that SLR also doesn't want to lose long-time subscribers, but it can also become a problem that scares away new subscribers, and it can also negatively impact sales of their new product Melody.

Piracy is a big problem, but other solutions must be found. Users and subscribers may not be penalized or denied resolution. The customer is king and that's why SLR finds a solution that satisfies everyone. I'm sure of that.

I think an easy solution for SR6/OSR2 users could be if it was just something online. Something like Ayva Stroker for example. They could straight up put it on SLR's site. Plug the device into the computer, go on SLR, connect, have a basic interface and a randomizer for axises. I honestly hoped SLR would drop something like that for SR6 and OSR users. The fact they even have support is awesome. They're the only company acknowledging these devices exist lmfao. I'm not trying to be a stickler, the current stuff for T Code devices just isn't that good. I think it'd be easy to improve.

I get we're a small user base so I don't know if they have time or give a shit, would be super cool of them though.

A main reason i subscribed to SLR was MFP compatibility. If MFP functionality is not restored i will not be resubscribing.

I don't post often, but I am another lifetime subscriber that is very much feeling the frustration of these recent changes. I have spent the better part of my weekend trying different firmware, and solutions and cannot get my OSR2 reconnected to SLR. I love MFP and my preference would be to return support, but right now I can't find ANY solution and am completely dead in the water. If this 15 script a day thing is also real, I imagine I will blow through that quickly. I am not sure I understand SLR's logic here. The whole reason I come to SLR is for ease of use. Trust me, I have tons of local scripts from erosscripts and others. If I wanted to download or pirate scripts, there are many ways to do that, but I DON"T HAVE THE TIME and would prefer to PAY FOR A SOLUTION that just works. SLR has been that for me until recently. I sure hope they listen to feedback, even if it is from a user base that represents a minority of device owners. Very disappointed.
