  • deovr local files blocked by firewall question

hi
When using the deovr app on a quest 3 I have issues connecting to my pc stored videos using the folder option via DNLA server without turning my firewall off.
the app online works streaming on SLR no problem at all but not networked files if firewall on.
DEOVR is allowed on the firewall?
any ideas?

        thumper69 For local scripts, in both DLNA and Local Files, users need to grant access to the storage. Could you please double-check to see if you have granted such access? Link to the screenshot

            the local files icon in your screen shot is not there,
            my dlna network scripts dont show the funscript heatmaps or play in deovr
            eg
            //dlna/192.168.0.116:2869/videos/folders/hap/scene.mp4
            script renamed and in the same folder.
            my pc location d:/hap
            video plays but on settings it says
            no scripts for this video yet
            heresphere sees and shows the heatmap and plays seemlesly on the same dnla server via autoblw ultra

                Is this on the primary or secondary account? I'm having issues accessing local files using a secondary account. Wondering if it's similar.

                    logged in with microsoft user/pass/pin etc
                    no secondary setup on system
