AlexSLR Thx for the reply.I followed your link and checked the Quest firmware which turns out to be up to date.The battery saver mode was not enabled.I did enable and disabled it,but it made no difference.
I might have jumped the gun a bit earlier.After I posted my last message,I watched some other videos and found that the picture did still freeze,but a lot less frequently.I then spent a long time trying all sorts of things with DEOVR and this is what I have found so far.Whenever the picture freezes,if I lower the playback resolution from say 2880 to 2160,it happens less.The lower there solution,the smoother is the playback.Most videos play smoothly in 1920.As the resolution increases,so is the stuttering.
So it seems the stuttering is somehow related to the playback resolution.I hope this information could help you to find out the root cause of the problem.Please let me know if there is anything you think I should try or do.Thanks again for your reply.
Streaming freezes every 15 seconds
Perhaps a different angle on what I experience? Yesterday i had issues similar to OP description.
Some additional info from my case:
A: I saw this when trying to catch back up on the videos released the last two weeks. So on approx page 30 when viewing latest releases.
B: Loading and buffering was a lot slower than what I'm used to
C: Varied a lot from video to video how bad it was. Some(more popular videos?) was totally fine on high bitrate. Others was unwatchable on low bitrate(less popular videos?).
D: Tried to watch the 2 latest SLR Original videos, they buffered quick and streamed without issues.
E: When re-checking a video that had issues yesterday, it works OK today. Still a bit slow buffering, but no freezing/stopping
F: Not sure if related, but when checking backlog for 2 weeks old videos they sometimes load for a long time. Longer than I'm willing to wait. But if I exit the video and open it again, it starts to play immideately.
My guess is that videos that have not been viewed recently, it has to be either read from a to slow disk, or loaded into a cashe/buffer, and this process is sometimes to slow.
Example of video with slow buffring and frequent stops yesterday, that works OK today:

I noticed that too lately. Not slower by a lot and not all the time but still. At the same time, DeoVR speed test results were better than ever (60 instead of 40 Mbps).

SchnuppiLilac Very misleading indeed. If it had said, best option for those who want a headset as cheap as possible sure but it's just a cheaper version with worse components then the quest 3 and with less features but I don't have to tell you that
BTW, I have this issue on a lot of vids too. The freezing after a bit of playtime. Only happens on some videos and I'm on Quest 3 too.
I'm sure it was just an error - don't be too harsh guys....

Mate... it wasn't aimed at you or any anyone in particular as you are one of the good guys and i respect your knowledge and you're just a nice guy or gal and one of my favourite forum users.
I just never like to see users pile on over a nothing issue whoever it is, we all make silly mistakes - me more than most
Too be honenst i'm a little over protective of the people being bullied in any way.... and probably also over react if anyone has a go at me

Personally i watch scenes in VR and have critical opinions rather than read numbers on a website from companies trying to promote shit.
Again i refer to VR Spy - Aria Valencia and Demi Hawks to make me happy and that the VR industry hasn't turned to absolute floppin tooosh - This scene was about as good as it gets but everything since then from this studio has been shit - Such a shame but it cost them money by me ubsubbing - it always make me laugh at how the company is happy to lose users due to their stance on diversity - Looooool = i'm sure it pays the bills of the redundancies

Q3 and Q3S have the same chipset. Q3S has worse lenses and a lower resolution/lower DPI display. That's why Q3S has a bit longer battery life and Meta sells it for a cheaper price. If you already have a Q3, no reason to buy a Q3S.

Went back and forth between those 2 example 22.april, same issues every time. Also saw the same issue with several other videos, but only >2 week old ones. Not new ones, and not the ones I assume are the most popular. Also tried reducing quality on the Kelly&Alyssa video. Did not notice an improvement. Do you really think this is a headset issue?
Rechecking 23.april and today I was not able to reproduce. At least not with those movies.
Perhaps issue is only reproducible when heavy load on servers or disks or something like that?
