The financial bar to entry for VR porn is higher than 2D porn, so that will naturally weed out the vast majority cheapass exploitive people but the sex industry is no stranger to unethical behaviour
There was a big thread on this forum and twitter last year about a certain VR director that was reported by multiple women for sexually assaulting performers on-set and even then, a certain studio wanted to hire him and fought the community about it 🤨
But having said that I do think the VR side of the porn industry might be more ethical, partly due to how niche VR is, how few studios exist as well as the high cost of entry
Once VR starts catching on more and the cost of a high quality camera lowers enough things might change
