I don’t think it’s their choice to remove the videos, the studio will decide if they want to keep stuff on here. It is their choice however to hide it so that most people will never even know it exists and this is probably partly what led to the studios pulling their content.
Trans Studios disappeared?

I'm sure I read that SLR are supposed to give a notification if any of your favourite videos are being removed but I never received a single one for trans content
Either not working or it's yet another issue stemming from the fact trans is on a completely separate section of the website..
Even on the new SLR site, there is no link to trans on the homepage https://new.sexlikereal.com
You unfortunately need to follow this thread to get a headsup for any studio leaving https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/8146-content-updates/

VitrualRealTrans hasn't uploaded a new video here in 4 months, kind of looks like they gave up on SLR too. What does that leave for new HC scenes, just the JonTron guy?
BML2000 I was wondering about that too. But when you look at their website, almost all scenes that came after were exclusive scenes.

There will be flat trans are coming soon
Sorry guys - if we get better service from SLR we'll consider returning if it makes economic sense but at the moment it doesn't, and we've asked for years for changes.
I'd be happy to discuss 'fun script' support and what's needed if anyone wanted to at admin@grooby.com and we can see how easy it is to implement.
bummer.
RIP, not surprised trans studios are leaving when the website actively hides the genre

GroobySteven we’ve been asking for changes for years too to make the content more visible but they won’t listen. I don’t blame you for pulling it.
BML2000 I sincerely doubt that will ever happen. They have been giving the same boiler plate BS "it's on our to do list" replies for years and they have done diddly squat to address the situation.
doublevr So the solution is to add 2D flat videos to a section that is so well hidden most subscribers don't even know it exists?

I really like how AdultTime website handles this. They have "show/don't show" slider settings they have you set the first time you log in to their site if you want to see/hide:
Straight
Lesbian
Gay
Trans
etc...
Then all content you want to see gets shown and aggerated from the same search controls and tags. If I find one of those categories personally off-putting, then I don't need to see it again.
Note that it feels like my SLR settings for seeing compilations is only set in browser cookies, not from my saved profile, since when I periodically clean out my cookies it reverts back to me seeing compilations.
ItsForTheArticles
It's hard to believe the intention was to make it easy to find and I also have the compilations issue but only in DeoVR I can't not see them.
SLR Don't you have contract agreements for an exit plan for studios? There should have been notification and a delay of the exits of VR Videos from GroobyVR and TransVR lasting an appropriate amount of time. Minimum 3 weeks perhaps.
Treating the Niche like third rate, insignificant, means you are treating subscribers as third rate.
The Transgender content was absolutely a factor in my current one year subscription.
I mean, you are a business. Why not links to Enter Transgender and Enter Gay on the interface of DeoVR? It's so perplexing, frustrating, puzzling.
Because there are some people who are so sensitive to anything not within their bubble of acceptable that even the word "Trans" or "Gay" triggers them.
Then there are others who suffer unfortunate shame in their fetish tastes and will do anything they can to hide and/or deny. I'm sure post-orgasm shame has caused at least some requests to hide the "temptation" of penii.
Combine those with the residual distaste from previous times and/or more recent culture war blowback on alternate genders and sexuality results in a return to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" or the debatable "What you do in your bedroom is your business. I just don't want to know about it."
As for why the Trans/Gay sections are still hot messes years later: Gay and Trans are niches, they are not SLR's primary audience. There is a sound argument that there was little chance of recoup of any investment of resources because the audience was smaller. I can't guess the exact metrics they use to tie subscription dollars with Trans/Gay view minutes, but there is probably enough of a correlation to make the decision to invest resources in other places (PT, Drive, production, new website design, etc).
I for one am collecting my favorite Trans scenes and holding them in anticipation of SLR Drive subscription and the glory of scripted passthrough Trans action.
