My rankings below. Note: I had to add in some categories, "Niche / Fetish" and "Funscript", because both are more important to me than many of the other categories.

  1. THE GIRL(s) - 80% of the time its the girl(s) that get me into a scene, keep me there, and bring me back.
  2. Niche / Fetish - there are some types of scenes I will watch regardless of the girl(s). If its a JAVR harem bathhouse scene, I don't care who the girls are--as long there are many and they're all wet.
  3. Funscript - if there's no script, I probably won't watch it. If its a shitty script, I'll bail pretty damn quick.
  4. Camera Angles / Positioning - to continue vrpicasso 's cooking analogy above, I think most of VR porn is edible, it's just not masterfully cooked. Yes, I would much rather consume a 5-star masterpiece, but the "fast food" or "home cooked" or "factory" VR we get served here can also satisfy my hunger. However, once you've forced down a ton of "undercooked" VR, its understandable to crave something prepared by a more skillful VR "chef".
  5. The Dick - I hate that I have to put this one so high up the list, but these giant, inflated frankendicks are just too common in VR. IMHO, girthy monstercocks should only be a niche thing in VR, not the standard. If the dick can't fit all the way in the girl's mouth, then get another stunt cock. Also, I can overlook if its obvious that The Dick has hands and/or a voice, but it makes the scene less enjoyable.
  6. Passthrough - I'm a new convert to PT, so I have no problem watching non-PT. However, if the scene is only available in PT, bad masking can quickly ruin it.
  7. The plot / dialogue - eh, I'm a skip/FFWD guy so "plot" isn't particularly important to me. And I'm pretty neutral on dialogue: some dirty talk would be nice, but its not necessary.
  8. Environment (Luxury House, BDSM dungeon, etc) - Lighting can be distracting and the same set over and over can be bothersome, but, generally, that's all background that's either ignored or hidden with AI PT.

    It's no surprise that the girls + camera positioning are top 2 here.
    #1 is pretty obvious.
    For #2, sometimes the angles are a bit off to the point where I'm looking up into the girls' nostrils in close missionary.
    Or I get cross-eyed during kissing scenes when they get too close to the camera.
    I feel like SLR is one of the better studios in this regard though. No complaints from me. 😊

      I chose Girls. But to be specific, it's their performance and not just looks. Some of my favorite pornstars are girls that wouldn't really stand out to me by looks alone, but they they know how to deliver lines, how to create intimacy, and how to act natural and not like a "pornstar".

      For me it is camera angle/position by far. The girl is obviously important but there’s a ton of different girls that I’d be just as happy to see. If the scene is shot poorly, then it doesn’t matter if they shot the world’s hottest woman, it still wouldn’t be any use to me.

      That they stay at one position! In a regular movie its makes it more interesting to view the actors lying, sitting
      standing or whatever. But specially in AR i have to change my position too and that is meanwhile not so easy.
      I have to stand up, talk with my headset, remove the handy from the bracket and fix it again and adjust the point of view of the new position. Instead of changing my position, i can change the movie. Easy and quicker, but also always an interruption. Why dont you produce movies in only one position? Than i could just lay back on the bed / on the sofa / standing or whatever and enjoy the show.

            petermc I used to like active positions, hell I used to get myself into all the same positions as the guy to be fully immersed. But after buying the Handy, the guy has to be passive so the machine can simulate the female's movements. If you hate the guy just laying there, I assume you don't use a Handy? It's really two entirely different genres, fucking vs being fucked.

                You're just not going to watch a talent you don't like regardless of anything else. I think that's clear as day but everything else is important too. A great VR scene ticks all the boxes.

                vrpicasso I don’t use a Handy no. As far as I’m aware though there’s tons of scenes with scripts that are not just dudes laying there doing nothing. Anyway, you can’t tailor all VR porn to a small minority of people who use a specific sex toy.

                  I was the same as you @petermc until I tried funscripts, which feel bad when the guy is fucking back. It's unimmersive and too intense to "feel" the girl. Probably why so many people prefer this (the Handy made me change my mind).
