Is the bluetooth lag improved over the Fleshlight Launch? Does the Handy use BT 5.x?

PeterGriffin456 Yes, the bluetooth has improved a lot, though there is 1 small bug we are aware off, yet no one up untill now reported on it. So I guess it doesn't happen often. It's also fixed in the upcoming update.

The Handy uses WiFi and you don't need a 2nd device for it to connect to.

The order in which you connect the Launch still does matter. Best is (imo) connect SLRinteractive with Launch, then start SLR/Deo . Log in so the player connects to SLRinteractive. Then load your video/stream.

Sometimes you can fix bad connection by changing the source stream and resolution. If playing local or DLNA, you must load a different video entirely. It's also not a guaranteed fix.
If still not fixed you have to start all over. Shut down launch, exit player...
We have a possible solution in the works for this, it's unrelated to the bug I mentioned earlier.

Just to necro this thread a little, since it seems like the integration is still ongoing:

I have a problem where The Handy will happily connect in the options menu, but opening a local video with a .funscript next to it (named identically) won't send the script to the Handy after the first time I watch it. (i.e. the app never displays 'Sending Script to Handy' and the Handy won't move)

    Things I tried:

    • Launching a different video (no luck, tried with both a different video with and without a .funscript associated)
    • Closing the app, renaming the video + funscript file, reopening app and trying again
    • Disconnecting and reconnecting Handy
    • Changing Handy connection key, reopening SLR app
    • Wait for entire video to load
    • Delete PlayerPrefs JSON entry for the video using regedit

What did manage to fix it for me was to delete all PlayerPrefs for the SLR app using regedit, which obviously wiped all my settings and whatnot. So I guess somewhere the app is getting itself confused? Once I'd done that and relaunched (and reconnected the Handy) the video properly displays 'Sending Script to Handy' and the handy works again.

Hopefully that helps in tracking down the bug!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the tutorial.
I have an Oculus Quest 2 and, like davidmie92, can't find a way to have the .funscript file sent to the Handy.
Anything else we should try ?

gchevron I just put the video and the funscript file in the movies folder and it works fine. Make sure they have the same exact file name, and your handy is conncted to the app.

cd1111 When you say the exact same name I am guessing only the name and not the extension ? The video is MP4 and the extension is funscript. My Handy works well when streaming videos but not when downloading locally to the Oculus Quest 2. Thoughts ?

doublevr I've been thinking about getting the handy but what is putting me off is having to purchase scripts for each vid I want.

I understand a lot of time and labor are used while creating these scripts.

Are there any plans to include a premium plan which has access to all the scripts? I will gladly pay one set fee annually (it can be a substantial amount) in order to access whatever script I would like at any time.

        Thanks!
