  • The PornoVerse (pics from set and other stuff)

Since this seems like the place to talk about VRhythm's first scene, I'll add my feedback here...

What I liked

  • I watched the scene this weekend. It had some good moments. My favorite actually being around the 29-31 min mark, where both women came up close to the camera and performed some great dirty talk right in my face. However, they should have continued to wank him off during this part. Not just because it will make the scene that much hotter, but for scripts/handy sake... gotta keep the stroking...
  • I thought the cast was fine. Typically not my personal taste, but they gave good performances, and had some nice thic bodies. I can't really complain about this.
  • The room itself, I'm actually okay with dorm room, small room type setups. It makes the scene more grounded, and more realistic. It's a nice change up from the modern, often lifeless, model-homes in other scenes.
  • Even the lighting was fine. I like uneven realistic light personally, for the same reasons mentioned above.

What I didn't like

  • The focus was poor throughout the whole scene. I imagine you see this now, and will make sure to address this in future scenes. Shit happens, it's understandable. Your first scene. Just make sure to get the focus right the next time.
  • Regarding the camera positions... man... this is where I think it is borderline inexcusable. I know you are very Swallowed-centric with your PMVs, but Swallowed has some of the worst camera positions and angles out there. And it's a shame this may have been your reference. Please, don't use Swallowed as your reference. Study SLROriginals (Nash, VRFanservice) for good reference points. The camera position in this scene is so far off, it's almost unbelievable. The camera is way too forward AND way too high. For the laying down position, it was like putting my head 15" above my stomach... And during the standing section, it was total "giraffe cam". My head was like 2 feet away from my body... It's not even remotely close to how things should look in a proper POV VR scene.
  • Position the camera as close to the male actor's face as possible. And then from there, pull back parallel to his face (along his forehead) even a few more inches so the camera has a bit more FOV and space for the women to lean forward without getting their head chopped off. Tilt the camera slightly upwards in laying down (slightly downwards in standing up), and have it so the top of the male shoulders are JUST out of frame, but the male nipples are comfortably in frame. If you only see the guy's bellybutton (like in this scene), then it is way way off.
  • And finally, one thing I found very disappointing, direction/action wise is what you said you were going to commit to here:

  • There was hardly any of this in the scene, aside from that one dirty talk section I mentioned. But overall, it was not "Pornoverse" intense, and it was not close up. And there was absolutely no licking... something that makes multigirl scenes way hotter. Granted, the male nipples weren't even in view, so if you had male nipple licking (I wish you would), then it would have been pointless. But fix the camera angle, have more licking, kissing, slobbering, tongue-action, slutty-actions like shoving their tits/ass CLOSE and into the camera, from all sides at the same time, and really ramp up this "Pornoverse" vibe, then you will start having some gold. Don't have the action just in front like 2d porn. have the women "attack" the camera from all sides. Make it feel like they are around me and on top of me, not just in front me.

All that being said, best of luck for you in future scenes. And congrats on your first.

      The camera work being terrible is not lost on me. I assure you, it was not by choice. I do have eyes, im not blind. You have some good notes for how camera angles can be improved. That being said we did not have a lot of space in the room.

      There was constant dirty talking throughout, so unsure what you mean. I did mention to lick him, but it was a 13 hour shoot and I wasn't going to cut again (filmed bj scenes last). They also didn't really understand what I meant by 'close up'.

      Ultimately there were things that were 'industry standard' that personally I feel are a complete waste of time. Taking the photos (you know those things nobody really looks at) took about 5 hours as we had to reapply hair and makeup again. Then we have lunch and 6 hours have gone by and we haven't even started shooting so people are tired before we even begin.

      But yes, I hear you on the licking, kissing, slobbering close up. I rewrote this reply a few times explaining why it didn't work out, but ultimately I'll just leave it as 'shit happens'.

          xeddin1 Totally understand regarding logistics and timeframe. Sorry if I came off a bit harsh. Honestly, I know you have really good creative juices. It comes out in your PMVs. Once the technical stuff is improved on, I see some great scenes in your future.

          I think actually what I mean is that in your PMVs, you have a great eye for "sensory overload". You create these videos of being bombarded every which way, which is something I crave in multigirl scenes. So, this is what I mean by I think there wasn't enough "Pornoverse" intensity. It lacked what I perceive that you have a talent for. That smothering effect of intensity.

                g2kbuffetboy You didn't come off as harsh, I appreciate the feedback. I just don't want anyone to be under the impression that I looked at the footage and thought 'hyuk, gorsh Mickey that looks perfect!'.

                As for everything else, again, 'shit happens'. I may have written too complex of a script and should have focused more on dumbing it down so the key areas could be focused on.

                    xeddin1 You are going to do great at this if you get enough chances at it.
                    We both know that most of the directors don't look at what they filmed or do they come in here and interact with the people watching it.
                    If you keep doing both of those things then you will improve really fast.

                      Finally watched the scene and it was ok. Camera was a little too close at times for me with it feeling like it was at chest level instead of eye level. Also do we have to persist with “step”mommy for the whole scene? SLRO don’t do this with their other taboo scenes. I get that you have to establish that she’s only your stepmom at the outset but surely we can drop the “step” as the scene progresses.

                        Credit card companies do not want to be associated with 'obscene' content. Incest falls into that category. Yes, there are scenes that drop the 'step'. It is a dance you have to play, I didn't risk it on the first shoot.

                            xeddin1 Fair enough I suppose, I just don’t think you’re really pleasing anyone with “stepmommy” throughout the scene. Taboo fans want more taboo language and non-taboo fans don’t want this stuff at all.

                            I’m sure SLR’s compliance people can guide you in what they allow and, as we all know, they’re on the cautious side themselves when it comes to not upsetting credit card companies! Obviously they won’t allow incest roleplay but stepfamily stuff isn’t incest. I understand it’s a bit of a dance but, from watching a lot of this stuff on the internet, it seems like you’re ok as long as you clearly establish it’s stepfamily at the outset.

                            Ultimately though, I’m not the one taking the risk so obviously you have to do what you think is best for you. I’m just giving you my feedback which is that I don’t think constantly reinforcing the step will please fans of this genre of porn.

                            I’ve said my piece though so I promise I’ll shut up about it now!

                                @xeddin1 You’re hilarious dude, and I gotta say I enjoyed your first scene. I get that you’re taking a lot of feedback and working through plainly stupid things like having to spend hours taking photos no one looks at… but I actually nutted to your scene 🤣 mission accomplished

                                I consider it a lucky month if I can actually finish to an SLR original. Whether it’s the lack of big tits, strange mish angles, or mixed POV stuff, I just end up being unable to enjoy a lot of scenes.

                                But it’s clear you know what people want. And when you’re able to deliver that as well as you want to, you’ll be the best. So thanks in advance brother and thanks for this scene. Gonna give it another watch today 👍

                                xeddin1 I feel directors and studios can totally keep a hands-off approach by pushing this on the consumer end.
                                This has to be a trivial job for an AI tool to find "step-<family>" in audio and replace the "step" part with background noise. Granted this is suited for downloaded content and her lips won't be in sync.
                                If DeoVR supported add-ons, we could have possibly used such a tool on the stream itself.
                                Just provide us such a tool or let us know if it exists already😉.

                                  I thought about this after reading it.
                                  Do the smaller studio waste time on pictures? Who are these pictures for? I don't even know where you can see or download these pictures.
                                  This seems like another thing left over from way back in the day. Back when you needed pictures to put on the DVR box. Or you could sell them to magazines.
                                  Do the girls want to take 5 hours of pictures? Do you have to hire a photographer for this?
                                  This seems like a complete waste of time. You could shoot a whole other scene in that time.
                                  I know SLR tries to be the leader in VR so maybe they should get ride of this waste of time and money.
