@doublevr you've been killing it with the spitting/drooling but almost all of it comes at a certain point where the girl is lying on her stomach with her face close to the viewer then drooling/spitting from there. Please consider in 2025 adopting more JAV-style spitting where the girl is in cowgirl and drooling from above! And anytime there are multiple girls I hope all of them can do a little spitting!

Immersive experiences are amazing in VR so things like spitting, drooling, even the enema scene with Rebel Rhyder was fantastic and a lot of people are hoping for more of these things!

Typical, a "disrupter" comes to market but eventually starts turning into what it replaced. Instead of focusing on making VR better we are at a point where adding FLAT is somehow a good thing? For business maybe but I dont see how that is a positive at all for people who are here for VR and to watch what your team comes up with to innovate and further VR like you have been doing for years. I dont care for 2D porn and I get that you say it will open up a door to other studios or people to dip their toes into the VR market but how exactly is that going to help the already "saturated" and "stale" VR porn that you also complain about? It's not like you dont already have access to pretty much every major porn star anyone could ask for. Sure there are some OF or cam girls that would be great to have, but nothing is really stopping you from already reaching out to them. At least dont frame the FLAT porn as a plus for users and just be honest and say its good for "business" we can all appreciate transparency. This feels like when Amazon started opening retail stores or how paid streaming services now have almost as many ads as a regular TV commercials do. You guys complain about how stale VR is getting but you fail to acknowledge that you are a part of it, you and every studio sticks to the same playbook and the almost identical flow of sex positions and transitions, you are paving the road you are complaining about. Go experiment not just with production and resolution and encoding formats and all this junk that ultimately is part of the "stale" process and does nothing to further your own interests other than some marginal resolution improvements on discontinued headsets that barely anyone uses in comparison to the number of all quest users. How about you take some damn creative risks in the filming of VR, have better directors and stars with slightly better acting chops that can deliver more authentic intimacy in a scene. I have never felt the same feeling watching any of your scenes as I do when I watch some of my favorite japanese scenes. Everyone is always so damn uptight with the technical side and god forbid a little scale issue with a new camera system and everyone starts complaining but who cares, the scenes are all the same boring concepts and position flows at the end of the day. Take more creative risks regardless of the usual complainers, just like with the whole POV vs Non-POV crowd who gets their panties all tied up at the thought of having any NON-Pov in a scene, get over yourselves not everything will be to your liking or catered to your exact demands.

metichemsi Lot to read here. But the perfect example of "stale VR" is practically anything by Badoinkvr. Hot models.... super repetative stale scenes. Fake lighting, the positions are so preplanned each video is a carbon copy of the last and the time in each. They do a good job at the artwork for the videos which makes me check them out every time but cant remember the last time one was any good, despite some super hot models. They just need to fire their director and get someone who cares to take a risk.

I don't see how offering flat porn will bring in new subscribers. 20+ years as an adult and before VR I'd never paid for porn.

Going flat feels like a waste of resources and a distraction from your core product.

Take a look at the feedback rolling in on the comments section of these new videos, less than enthusiastic.

On a positive note, I do appreciate the toggle slider to make filtering easy.

maxsavage Just like any innovator, they seem to be going through a contraction phase where a business slowly starts to adopt facets of what it supposedly replaced or evolved from, just like amazon starting to open physical stores or paid streaming content apps now starting to have ads, even on paid plans. It doesnt matter how they try to spin it, it is what it is. Not a fan of it. I would personally prefer if they have to pivot to non-VR porn, that they would focus on acquiring all the years of lost SBS 3D porn that used to be out there, at least that crap was 3D. I can no longer find any reputable subscription site anywhere that still has SBS 3D porn now that VR headsets are able to provide the best viewing experience for general 3D content. There used to be european sites that had huge catalogs of it and even some american sites had some pretty good content like 3DXStar I believe. Where did all that content go?

Nobody that DOESN"T have a VR headset is ever going to pay money for free porn. Never going to happen. Why would you?
So only people that have a VR headset and want to get porn the legal way are going to be able to see it. But why would you take the time to buy a SLR sub and buy a headset then go and watch 2d porn. It is never going to happen.

Just look at the 1 flat video SLR did as a test. It got 50 dislike comments. A couple SLR employee trying to say it is great and every other person disliked it. SLR tested it and thought it was a great success.

I don't think anybody is going to join because if it but as long as I don't see it in the VR feed then out of sight out of mind. Minus the money wasted that should go to what I paid for.

doublevr Not sure that making suggestions for a studio/model equates to enthusiasm for flat content. You possess far more data metrics than I, and I'm sure you all know what you are doing. Just expressing the value of the added content from my perspective.

sylvan Same here, I dont even see an option to make them stereoscopic. Its definitely not automatic. Just flat videos soon as you press play in a VR headset.

My suggestion for SBS flat/stereo AI 3D (or whatever the name is) is to change the default presets in DeoVR. Currently, every video starts with 'force mono projection' activated when played for the first time. On a VR platform, I would expect that the majority of viewers prefers the stereofied view.

You don't need a VR headset to watch 2D porn on SLR, you can watch 2D and VR porn on a normal PC monitor if you wanted to and it looks fine (no side-by-side)

If they do end up attracting a lot of big and medium 2D studios to SLR then it will be a no brainer for anyone looking to pay for porn to give it a try. You get access to lots of studios for your money, just like a regular SLR VR subscription - that's the big appeal. It just takes time for an honest try at it, all the while everyone is shitting on the idea 😆

The difficult thing is getting new people introduced to VR porn, once they are on the platform for 2D they are 50% of the way to buying a cheap Quest 2 off eBay and then they'll want to try sex toys and it snowballs from there. So I can hardly blame SLR for trying this approach, maybe they do actually want to be a top tier 2D streaming website and any VR convert customers are a bonus

SLR need to brand it better though, i'm 100% aware of their dive into flat porn but trying to find and differentiate it on the website is a confusing mess

They should just put a tab at the top left that says "2D porn" with a ? mouseover icon that explains it and stop calling it flat. Flat is confusing, especially to people that do not watch VR

And then there is "Flat immersive" - I have no clue what that even is. By nature 2D is not immersive and it's not VR converts, so what is it? Even the comments on the videos are confused by it

I'm surprised they have not 100% successfully automated 2D porn video tagging and recognition, the metadata should be able to identify it surely, if not then they can identify it via thumbnail posters which all videos have

Either way they are attempting to bring more life into the website so i'm optimistic
