Forgive me for quoting your own sweepstakes rules back at you. I'm sure you are well aware of what they say. I'm just curious why it seems to conflict with the above statements regarding holding back the winners announcement.

...if there really were shenanigans afoot, it would be a simple matter for SLR to give the prize to a 'fake' account, and then we'd all know no better, i'm sure this is just the usual cock up, no good deed goes unpunished, etc.

Saying that, it does seem a bit rich that the winner doesn't want to honour certain terms in the agreement ('biological information'), but is prepared to accept others (like, the actual prize...).

i'd say no car for you if you don't wanna be in the photo op! And can you imagine if the prize had been to shoot a sex scene with a porn star, by the same logic you'd have had to shoot it in full PT. Such hubris...

So every SLR member was automatically entered, correct?

So SLR unilaterally gave themselves and whoever they want to sell information to.. the rights to every single detail about every single member for eternity?

...more like everyone gets an automatic entry, but in order to accept the prize you need to at that point accept the terms and conditions. Then they can have a photo op or wtvr.

I think privacy is important, just as Double stated, so I don't think photos are a good idea. I wouldn't want mine posted. Though, there should be some sort of evidence.

I mean I am an active subscriber. I -intentionally- didn’t enter the contest because ain’t no way in hell I want everyone to know I won a CyberTruck from a porn site. That’s like career limiting moves right there. If I had one, I’d be mad as hell you revealed my name as the winner.

      I wouldn’t want the whole world to know if I won so I’m ok with leaving it up to the individual whether they want to come forward. Obviously that means people will speculate that it’s all shenanigans but it’s the same in pretty much any competition.

        No privacy is being violated if SLR says "Regulator won the contest"

        doublevr you're worried about going public with the USERNAME? No one is asking for real names here. And it's not like it will be on the international news cycle... just post the usernames (not the real names) of the winners.

            De-Regulated with some OSINT skills it might be revealing a person in no time.

              If you guys are worried about the winner wanting to go public so you get some news coverage. I will do it.
              I would tell the whole world that I won it because of a VR porn site. I don't care, judge me if they want but almost every guy in the western world watches porn so... and the people that would judge, I don't get along with them anyways.

              [deleted] It may be nice to know, but maybe the winner doesn't necessarily want the info potentially going public that he won a sweepstakes from a porn site he frequents. No shade on SLR here, but some folks, a lot of folks probably, don't want that info public.

                ...should have specified that it came with a massive SLR porn wrap, that would have sorted the sheep from the goats...

                I know if I won I wouldn't have wanted my name/face posted. I don't think shenanigans are at play.
