Yeah definitely can confirm what @SchnuppiLilac says. Just check the door and bookshelf, they don't look straight, but bent. It's like watching through a pimax headset LOL. And I also felt that same motion sickness-like feeling, not sure what's causing it but there's something off for sure. Or maybe it's just the fact that things are not geometrically correct, not sure what's causing that feeling, but definitely feeling that too ....

Actually this video would be like a perfect example if you would want to show somebody how a Pimax wide fov headset looks: distorted at the edges and this uncomfortable feeling that 'something is not right' but not sure what, haha. It almost feels like you're using somebody elses glasses, giving a certain eye strain.

There's definitely something wrong with the lens setup.

harigeharry they hardcoded lenses for cinematic filming. Male pov is rare outside of porn.

Yes what the other guys set, looks like a video encoded with one lens profile and decoded using another lens profile. Stereo is all off on the test video. In both the foreground and background.

Btw, would be interested to try a 30fps max resolution file just to see the quality if possible

DannySLR The distortion is mostly due to incorrect scaling on the X/Y axis. This looks like a post processing issue - that footage is around 10% too tall compared to the X axis, which is a huge disparity. You might want to film a square grid or something to calibrate?

The models also look too big. I'm sure you guys will figure out how to process the footage better.

When exporting footage from the Cine Immersive to SBS in Davinci Resolve I noticed that it was hard for me to get the correct dimensions for correct scaling, I was facing a similar squeezing on the X-axis as your sample footage. I solved this by setting the export to output each eye as a separate file, so export resolution was 4096x4096 and each eye a perfect square. Then I went back and combined both files so it was a regular SBS at 8192x4096. I watched some test footage on AVP today, and I can say the image quality looks really great.

Adrianvr Did you watch it with the eyes of someone watching POV VR porn? In the samples I have access to the framed picture in the back looks really great too, but from there everything is getting more blurry the closer it gets.

SchnuppiLilac I’ve reviewed the test samples with the POV actor, and these two test videos will be available on SLR Labs soon. There are still some issues with close-ups, and another team is working on solutions to improve them. Aside from that, the image quality on AVP already looks incredible—even without denoising or advanced post-processing.

DannySLR do you guys also own the vrspy site? I noticed this sample footage is from the 2 girls they just released a scene for, more importantly, does that mean that their scene was also filmed with this camera????

Thats why i asked about the lenses specs ... If these lenses cant focus at close up distances this camera will be completely useless for VR porn ... One more question - Is the URSA Cine Immersive lens interchangeable at all ?
