metaverse Thank you. I remember that the previous Original files for these videos had about three times higher bitrates. Just curious: Will the Original videos actually look better after interpolation compared to how they looked before when at the same time the bitrate is reduced significantly? I am not complaining, the new bitrates as such are fine.

      LordCrash interpolation is term used in maths and computing for calculating or generating values in between other known values. if you have a sequence of numbers like 0, 2, 4 you can interpolate intermediate values to get smaller/smoother increments (eg 0, 1, 2, 3, 4). in the context of vr porn it means frame interpolation.. which is converting a video with a low frame rate (30 fps) to a higher frame rate (60 fps) by generating intermediate frames.

        the image quality would likely be a bit worse than before due to the increase in frame rate and reduction in bitrate.. but the motion would be a lot smoother

          Correct. There are a lot of factors affecting its look. Such as:
          Lack of light, wrong settings, focus etc. Given that it was hard to bring the usual quality and our staff did what they could to make it somewhat watchable.
          At that time it was one of the first scenes filmed with a new 8k rig and we were figuring out new pipeline for stitching and fought with a scale issue.
          We might give a try to improve it to some extent, but it won't be a huge difference.
          Will keep you updated.

              metaverse Thanks. Already downloaded and will check it out. Started VR back in the early days (2016) with the Vive so I'm sure I'd still be able to enjoy it even with these issues, as back in those days all VR scenes were what today's people would call "poor" quality and we had to get used to it. But yes please keep me updated if you ever get to fixing it. :-)

                  I remember Philip (I think?) saying that's one way of telling when there are revisions.

                    I think you are absolutely right, but it would be nice to know what exactly changed (e.g. just re-rendered or also new scenes added)?

                        Fapmaster17 I agree, please could someone confirm what has changed? I know that there were some warping issues with Mean Stepsis and this was taken down to be fixed, but I wasn't aware of any issues with the School Janitor scene?

                            Hey @alexnash and @Evan_Redstar I’ve been loving the the limo/airplane scene so much it has taken me this long to get to the spot I’m mentioning, but at 40m49s there is a bad black frame / overlay issue on the right lens, and thereafter for the next 4 minutes until 44m when the plane is landed and Tru Kait comes in, the left and right lens are out of sync. Just hoped you could make an otherwise perfect experience all the more perfect. Thank you so much for this amazing scene!!
