the image quality would likely be a bit worse than before due to the increase in frame rate and reduction in bitrate.. but the motion would be a lot smoother
Many customers reported that this video needs a fix/remaster due to excessive blurriness. Did you guys at SLR fix it already? Correct. There are a lot of factors affecting its look. Such as:
Lack of light, wrong settings, focus etc. Given that it was hard to bring the usual quality and our staff did what they could to make it somewhat watchable.
At that time it was one of the first scenes filmed with a new 8k rig and we were figuring out new pipeline for stitching and fought with a scale issue.
We might give a try to improve it to some extent, but it won't be a huge difference.

metaverse Thanks. Already downloaded and will check it out. Started VR back in the early days (2016) with the Vive so I'm sure I'd still be able to enjoy it even with these issues, as back in those days all VR scenes were what today's people would call "poor" quality and we had to get used to it. But yes please keep me updated if you ever get to fixing it. :-)

I think you are absolutely right, but it would be nice to know what exactly changed (e.g. just re-rendered or also new scenes added)?
Fapmaster17 I agree, please could someone confirm what has changed? I know that there were some warping issues with Mean Stepsis and this was taken down to be fixed, but I wasn't aware of any issues with the School Janitor scene?

Hey @alexnash and @Evan_Redstar I’ve been loving the the limo/airplane scene so much it has taken me this long to get to the spot I’m mentioning, but at 40m49s there is a bad black frame / overlay issue on the right lens, and thereafter for the next 4 minutes until 44m when the plane is landed and Tru Kait comes in, the left and right lens are out of sync. Just hoped you could make an otherwise perfect experience all the more perfect. Thank you so much for this amazing scene!!

metaverse Can't stream the reuploaded version to my Q2, it's says "Unsupported format".
Thankfully, I snagged the first version at 4000p, and that one's streaming just fine. Didn't actually watch it though, 'cause I heard some people had problems with it. But now there's this newer 4320p version, and for the life of me, I just can't get it to stream. I guess imma just watch the old version.
[deleted] You are talking about streaming the 66 GB file over Wifi, right? May I ask you about the bandwidth specs of your Wifi (e.g. data or Tx rate)? This is because I had trouble streaming the first version fluently and it was suggested that my Wifi may not support the bitrate, but so far I have no way of knowing whether this is actually true since the diagnostic data that I have available suggest that 150 Mpbs should be no issue at all.
