  • KinkVR appartently sold to RealityLovers

I noticed KinkVR site layout has changed to the layout that RealityLovers has.. also, when I log into the other former sister sites KinkVR shows, but it's glitched as showing active membership, even though I'm not currently subscribed.. and KinkVR link is removed on the top where there are sister site links from most pages (Like Videos, Girls, Blog, etc) except for the main page where it's all the way to the right side after VR Cams for some reason.

Not at all one of my favorite sites, personally, but something a little interesting to see.. a studio apparently changing hands. BabeVR hasn't gotten any new content in a year or so and only I think 4 videos in the previous year. So they're down to BaDoinkVR, 18VR, VRCosplayX.. and RealVR is their 'compilation site' as VRPorn is for VRBangers/VRConk and POVR is for Wankz/POVR/MilfVR/etc.. but RealVR is seriously lacking and lagging behind the competition on that front. Seems they may be starting to give RealVR a little push now that they've apparently sold off KinkVR to RealityLovers. They have 1 exclusive video just launched.. PassthroughVR Raven Lane - The Breakthrough Bang. There's also a 'Super Bundle' including the 5 sites, but no KinkVR.

Just sharing some observations..

And since RealityLovers is no longer here, I'd suggest anyone that's interested to check the KinkVR videos here and grab what you want now in case they leave soon

Edit: KinkVR has been adding 1 video per week here still.. so who knows.. maybe instead of them leaving, hopefully RealityLovers will start to come back too

BDVR statement on Reddit from 4 weeks ago:
KinkVR is no longer part of the BaDoink Studios network and our collaboration with Kink.com has ended. Kink has always been the owner of the content, and we at BaDoink provided web support and scene editing. Since the collaboration ended, Kink.com are now fully in charge of the site. However, people with any existing subscriptions will maintain their access to KinkVR.

Makes sense that they were separate/independent and just collaborating, because that site didn't feel like it fit with the others. So what are the guesses now that they appear to be collaborating with RealityLovers (they at least have their website layout already)? Could them being here influence RealityLovers to return? Or lead to them leaving? Or is the website layout the end of it and they'll fully function independently?

TemporaryName I don't know who owns now the old KinkVR content that is still being uploaded on SLR. But even if it is RealityLovers, I don't expect them to change their business strategy just because they have acquired a studio that had been uploading ancient content. In this case I would rather expect that we are in a transition period right now and the KinkVR uploads will stop at some point.

But then again, the business strategy of RealityLovers is not so obvious - they left SLR and VRP but not POVR. Why going all exclusive and then half-ass it?

TemporaryName I think no change because Kink presumably still owns the content and they can do what they want with it. The partnership with RealityLovers is likely just limited to the editing and web assistance that they lost from parting ways with BaDoink.

It's interesting that this coincided with BaDoink's addition of their new passthrough studio. That would keep their editor(s) busy so maybe they don't have the bandwidth to help KinkVR now?

I liked a lot of the RealityLovers scenes and they were great at filming nonPOV and have been hoping they would return, especially now with the AI passthrough feature, and they were one of the only studios as far as I can remember that released the same scene in both POV and nonPOV formats, best of both worlds. Would be cool to see them back.

I'm not seeing any evidence that KinkVR sold its entire catalog and operations. Looks more like they're just switching distribution platforms.

IMHO it would be a stretch to make any judgments about RealityLovers returning to SLR based on this.

I can't even see anything that would support the idea of KinkVR leaving SLR. Why kill the trickle of revenue they get from the old ass 2019 content they release here?
