Meta Quest 3 Open Facial Interface, Don't not sleep on this!

Metamucil cuz it's open, and you get more eye sight of your full body. Kinda hard to explain, but with this open facegaurd I feel like I'm not looking threw Binoculars anymore, I like it.

Vrsumo2017 Yeah I agree. I have been using an open facial interface for my Apple vision pro for the last few months (with the lenses pretty much hanging in front of my eyes). This weekend I tried closing it up again and suddenly that 'binocular' feeling got back, I had actually totally lost that the last few months! So yeah, definitely agree, an open design really helps with losing that binocular feeling.

harigeharry know what I've noticed with this open facegaurd, it got rid of the binocular overlap and my lens don't look circle anymore they look wider like a rounded Rectangle. 👍

Vrsumo2017 I didn't find it to be a vast improvement, but it was an improvement worthy of the investment so I thank you for the recommendation. Added bonus is that it allowed me to get to itches I get plagued with under the mask without needing to remove.

Vrsumo2017 did it really get rid of the overlap? This is the main reason I prefer to use my pico 4 over the quest 3. I have the BOBOVR M3 Pro Battery Pack Head Strap for the quest 3 and I can pretty much use it without facial interface.

With out it the over lap is noticeable in q3

Try pulling the vr away from your face and see if that helps the over lap, with the original face guard the outline of the lenses looked kinda awkward to me, I pulled out the glass adjustment to max and this helped sum, but I bought a amvr q3 facegaurd and added my thicker fabric cushion and I have it pulled out for glasses to max, and it fixed the over lap, was barely noticeable. But with this new open facial guard the overlap not even noticeable, looks perfect.

It come with two sizes I use the thicker one.

They kinda itchy after a while, maybe like an hour, but I noticed it drys up fast if you happen to sweat with it on playing games.

But I think it made a real difference with the over lap, plus I like hows it open, much easier moving around with it on.

n0den it helps the over lap, but lens size wise, pico4 still has a big fov, looks like huge circle lense.

I just wish the pt worked great. Still good headset tho.

bboy7895 try putting it on and pushing it in more to ur face till you see the over lap disappear, it should look perfect...hey bro I switch the default cushion with a vrcover cushion and I can barely see the over lap again now, so I'm assuming it depends how it sits on your face...try pushing in more into ur face, cuz I push it in I see the overlap go away, If that works maybe tighten the headset tighter or get a thinner cushion, u try both cushions?

And I have my iPad at 66, if that helps too. 🤷‍♂️

But what you think about the openness? I haven't gone back to the original.

Vrsumo2017 Im not sure how much I can pull away, but ill give that a try and see and open is def better for passthrough, no doubt about that. I'm hoping there would be an open mask like that for the ultra.

Quest 3 would have been the perfect headset for me, better color and more crispy compare to the pico 4, but the overlap was too much for me.

Vrsumo2017 Just got the pico 4 ultra, and its pretty much the same as the quest 3 just without the stupid binocular overlap. Only con right now is, deovr keep crashing...... I think the passthrough might even better than the quest 3, but not by much.
