  • Passthrough AI Mask generations and improvements

Silly-Sausage Alpha channel downloaded files in passthrough played in Heresphere is the best right now and looks absolutely incredible at times in the right lighting to suite skin tone etc.

AI Alpha is definitely 10/10 gold standard "mask". But as I can read between the lines there are one big problem with that one compared to real world AI mask. It is wrong lighting. Filming Alpha channel videos you have to have "greenscreen" (have to build grey room). Obviously you can light the model only from front, which messes up the skin colour (too white, model sides look greenish, legs in doggy position are too dark) and you don't get the normal sunlight from the windows and light scattering from the surfaces etc.

I assume because of this you are using HereSphere to correct skin colour. It has better options. You can not use DeoVr because that sucks in colour correction. If you adjust the colour/tone slider even a bit using DeoVr the framerate drops from 90 fps to 40 and even lower. After this video is ruined and unwatchable. Am I correct?

      If you guys can bring some imperfection cases we can further look into it.

          It would be nice to "feather" the AI mask around the edges. Similar to the blur edge quality.

            Regrarding the lighting, i mean the light in the room you are watching can sometimes accidentally match the performer and as you say i can also alter the colours, contrast, sharpness etc to fine tune the match - so not every scene looks great, just scenes that match the lighting in my room and obviously passthrough is still farily grainy.

            What i would like to see tested is being able to take a high res photo of my room and use that as the background / passthrough.

            For me it might work as i never move from a postion sat on my bed, so the image doesn't have to be live, but i still get the sense of being in my bedroom - Not sure if it would work or not, but worth a test IMO.

                Do you expect that to work, considering that a photo is flat?

                I am wondering whether a non-PT scene shot in one's actual room would provide the same experience as PT. For some reason, even with colors matching and the view being not grainy, I don't think so...

                      Hairsational The AI mask won't ever be perfect

                      That might be true, but neither is AI Alpha. Both have their own weaknesses. Improving AI mask algorithms might lead to 99 % perfection. Eventually it is the cost and quality, which one is better? Maybe the gold standard in the future is build greenroom and PT Alpha, but still majority of porn studios film in standard way and thats why we need to improve AI mask.

                        I don't know how did you creat this AI mask in SLR, but if you have watched AI porn even a little bit you should have plenty of ideas for improvement. I don't want to be rude but shame on you. How can you build AI mask and not to have proper roadmap for improvements. It is like Tesla would build its first EV and then don't know what to do. Mind-boggling.

                        Background is obviously seen between models body and arms (under armpits) and between legs. White carpet is also blinking next to hip. AI mask can not decide is it skirt or carpet.

                        Models black socks are transparent (on and off) because algorithm can not decide is it floor or sock.

                        Same video little bit further. Look at the male left hand and girls shoulder. AI mask edges are not smooth at all. If you can pause video perfectly you can see edges are like Lego blocks.

                        Undressing the sweater it becomes transparent in front of the model so the model is also transparent. If you have fabric or other item touching the model it can't be transparent.

                        We don't need models reflections (glass or mirror) in AI PT. Mirror works great in normal videos but not in PT. It is just confusing.

                        I am little bit sad this tread did not get proper interest. AI PT is one of SLR competition advantages. Why not handle and improve it such a way also?

                                doublevr one use case is removal of male body, we have background removal and male body, but I think it’d be cool to keep background and remove male body, put the viewer in the scene

                                  FYI - Most of the Asiansexvr AI PT masks are way off.

                                    Another one, the cum in cum swapping is usually mostly keyed out (transparent)

                                        MatoSLR It seems that for some studios (mostly less popular ones) the masks are consistently off upon first release. Latest AsianSexVR again, also PornoDanVR.
