  • LethalHardcoreVR's lack of quality control

The last 16 new releases (exclude the rereleased "extended versions") from LethalHardcoreVR have all had the same issue. Setting vertical offset to - 2 makes it a bit better but it is still faulty and making a dizzy feeling. Me and a few others have pointed it out, I've seen comments about it on vrporn as well. @Glokta can you be more specific. We are not doing anything else differently. Maybe slr can comment on what this is ? Most fans don’t seem to have this issue. Maybe it is the file you are downloading that slr makes ?"

It is not something SLR does since it is in both the original file as well as the lower bitrate file and also on other aggregators. It would be nice if someone from the SLR team who knows production stuff could reach out to this guy.

Also the problem is easily seen if you watch it on HS using autofocus and pause the video in close range(then you see the blue text showing the distance, left and right lens text is not aligned and becomes better with changing the vertical offset)

Tired of this issue not getting addressed especially when LHC had become one of my top studios before this issue occurred.

    What's crazy is how simple it is to solve in post production.

    1) Mask one half
    2) Duplicate masked clipped
    3) Move Duplicate to the right
    4) Adjust xAxis of first -100
    5) Adjust xAxis of the duplicate +100

    (depending on how off balance it is)

    Glokta In the past they had a major issue with all their videos and it took a very long time to get fixed. They definitely don't check what they produce.

      I tried to comment this same problem to almost every video, but no results 🙁 I was shocked about LethalHardcoreVR comment. I don't understand why it is so hard to notice because the crosseyed feeling is so obvious.       Harsh truth is they lack of quality control and maybe they don't care. In the end production should be paid by the quality not quantity and use checklists like in aviation. If producer is blind, you should hire sharp-eyed person.

          I wrote on a previous post there should be an overall quality control team vetting new releases, but got totally ignored. The only way to get this resolved is to complain !

            Could someone in the SLR team reach out to this producer?

            A word of warning - It is highly unliklely that the issue will be resolved - instead the scene will be removed and you will never see it again - So choose wisely ..... hint... maybe download as a backup if it is a particlular favourite

              Silly-Sausage I agree that existing scenes will not be fixed but I don't think they will pull 16+ scenes. In any case, Stoney Curtis needs to be made aware that there actually is a big problem that needs fixing. I understand that at the moment his position is: 5K people have watched the scene, two are complaining, must be BS.

              Btw, this is a comment from Reddit on another LHVR matter. It's not very nice but it still made me smile because I am an old guy too 😃

                  SchnuppiLilac In any case, Stoney Curtis needs to be made aware that there actually is a big problem that needs fixing.

                  I think a few people told him of the issue and he basically just dismissed it and told the user it was possibly an issue that is caused at SLR's end and to get in touch with them.

                  To be honest he may be right but we all we can do is report the issue and let them sort it out between themselves - I don't think many people complain as it can usually be fixed within the DeoVR offset options, but some users like to download and play in a different player where the issue can't be dealt with.

                  But as you say they aren't gonna pull 16 odd files.
