Recently, last month or so DEOVR will go to a black screen when playing videos. I can back out of the video, and to the menu. If I try to launch that video again it will not play. Also if i try to scrub the video, or go to a specific part of a scene it will just start playing from the start of the video. This is happening after looking at 2 or 3 videos, and is super annoying. Running on q3, also uninstalled and reinstalled it same issues. Anyone else having this problem, any known fix? Thanks!

Deovr player must want to give a warning playing h264 is not a good idea for high resolution videos.

@"jay22111"#p92465 are you using bluetooth headphones? Meta pushed some changes to their bluetooth backend and fucked all the media apps (browser, Deo, HereSphere). I'm not sure if it's something they should fix, or app devs should do on their codebase. PS: yes, I've faced this issue too. It's always when I'm using my bluetooth headphones.

doublevr Hey I am just using the site, not sure if its h264, or h265. I was just googling and noticed a trend. I am using the slr site when having these issues, on vr videos not flat. hope this helps track it down.

thatoculusdude That is crazy, I do use bluetooth headphones, humm that is interesting. Last night I updated to v71 from v69 will see if this helps things. Ill also test out headphones vs no headphones.

iddqd This appears to be a bluetooth issue . Playback while using a bluetooth headphone performance is ok for a little bit, however if you switch between say 5 videos it all starts to fail. I also noticed one time disabled bluetooth while deovr was running and the entire headset freaked out. Another time a video was in a state where it was running, with sound but a stuck picture. I quit the app but audio keep playing after the app closed via the BT headphones. Do you see the same thing in testing?

Wired headphone tested, none of these situations happened.

I noticed BT headphones effecting playback a while back on the Q3. I just use a short AUX cable now and I am able to keep the noise canceling features of the headphones on too...

Bro I mention this a while back, it still does it till this day, it goes black, I can't do anything, so I wait about a minute and then it plays, but after that it will be lagging when using menu settings sliders, videos will play good, but moving the pointer and selecting settings it will lag. It's been doing this for long time now, does it happen often? No but it happens on weekly basis. Does it on Pico 4 too. 🤷‍♂️

I've come across that too a few times, the app closed but the audio was still playing for like minute. 🤦‍♂️
