Idk why but oculus store been doing that, i will install an app or even a game and after it installs it says update, i update but it just not working or sum crap, but if u go to the oculus store open up an app from there it works by inserting the phone into the gear.

And later it fixes by it self inside the gear.

Guys, GearVR being slowly discontinued and no wonder bugs are starting to kill it, consider updating headset

Hi there!
We strongly recommend that you consider upgrading your headset.
Hope for your understanding!

Yar We strongly recommend that you consider upgrading your headset.

Maybe one day. Until then I won't be buying anything. For the time being you lost a customer.

nhabsenspath OSIG means it has to be signed by Oculus to work on your specific device/phone.

Philip Isn't there a way ppl can use previous versions of the app without it auto-updating where the OSIG isn't missing? I know APKpure has older versions of apps, but I think Deo updates anyway.

Rakly3 It might be, but once API updated everything goes to shit.

        Not recommended headsets"

""These are not recommended at all due to poor performance, lack of connectivity or simply not being suitable for VR. Any phone-based headset is not suitable for VR compared to dedicated VR headsets.""

Except for the s10+ if anything from what i understand from other q2 headset users its really not that big of difference, unless u like games then yeah the q2 is great for that.

So if you have a s8 - s10+ gear you can still have a great experience watching vrp

Now if we talking about streaming then q2 and gearvr are basicly the same, oculus browser on gear and q2 play basicly the same, no remote functions no zoom no tilt. 👎

Deovr plays great on gearvr but only if a vr studio is in "media" mode.

But downloading scenes watching in skyboxvr works fine just as well in the gearvr.

        So
"These are not recommended at all due to poor performance"

        Id say this is false.

The s10+ plays up 6k. Which is fine to me. 7k 8k sure would be great but 4k - 6k is fine enough. Imo.

Vrsumo2017 It's more about GearVR as a system is no longer supported. It becomes harder and harder and more work for devs to keep their apps working. You can still use the supported Android version of the app.
