Hey, I got a lot of JAVs locally with srt files for the subs. I think this is a recent occurence but it appears the subtitles appear behind the video. I moved the 180 degrees video up and sure enough, the subtitles where there when the video was out of the way.
Changing the depth never brought them to the top. I tried the recentering option or even zooming out the video, they never got on top.
I don't remember it being an issue a little while ago.

VeiledPrivateer, hi there! Resetting player settings can sometimes resolve odd behavior. Try resetting the video player settings to default, especially the subtitle-related options 
JordanSLR Sorry for the late response.
So I tried this and it didn't work. I tried reverting to default the subtitle options individually and went to the option screen tor eset the whole player to default, no dice. subtitles on local videos are still hiding behind the video itself.
I was trying to watch a JAV-VR video I have on my PC with a locla srt file and it keeps doing it.
DEOVR is your thing, right? Care to look into it?

This is getting ridiculous. I contacted support on the 6th and they're still asking me questions a week later. It's a 100% repro issue and I sent a video of the issue a week ago. I work in QA, that would be more than enough for any dev I work with.
I'm willing to bet that it's a global issue, too, not a local one. It's just that I'm the only one reporting it because people don't care (or don,t use subtitles)

VeiledPrivateer i also have this issue with both streamed videos using subs from SLR and my local videos with subtitle files. I do see the subs appearing behind the video when i rotate the angle to drop the video under me, they appear right there in their centered spot. Hopefully this issue gets resolved.
VeiledPrivateer on the quest it has captions, I don't know if it works for language yet but it works, I noticed it don't work on deovr maybe they can fix that but on YouTube it works. I'm sure languages will come next or maybe it works for that now 
I know the raybans do multiple language so the headset bought to do the same. Pretty sure bro. 
I found it in the experimental, i think ...but it's there in the meta settings.
JordanSLR hey bro could you request to add the AI pt to all the Alpha scenes, I want to take the cocks out, pluse some alpha videos have male body with no green suit and I'd like to take them out. Also I would like to see how good the AI pt works on green screen videos. Please pass that request, it should be an option to have alpha with ai pt.

Unlikely that it's going to be fixed any time soon.
They are still sending me mails (this very morning, 2 weeks after the initial support request) asking if the srt file has the same name as the video or the subtitles won't load despite me sending a video and screenshot of different cases showing the subtitles are loading and functional, just BEHIND the video. (I even move the screen by changing the camera's pitch and all that, even shower the depth slider at 0)

in the meta captions setting it has "set by app" and has a list of apps you can turn on or off where the caption works, I saw no deovr in that list and couldn't find anything to add to the list, might have to fix that on deovr side I see HS in there, YouTube is not in there but when I have meta captions on it works in YouTube.
Currently with metas captions on it shows nothing in deovr.
The captions are in the accessibility settings, could be the headset it self, I think they just added captions, but I've noticed it works when it wants, 
VeiledPrivateer yea like it loads correctly since it appears, the problem is that it appears behind the actually scene, and if you rotate the y-axis, you will see the subtitles right there

Seriously, I can't enjoy my JAVs. Please. It's been almost 2 moths. I refuse to believe a simple UI sorting issue takes that long to fix...

Because, as I suspected, I was told by @AlexSLR via e-mail that the Rift S is pretty old and not fully supported. However i'm pretty damn sure it's a global issue and not limited to my old shitty device lol. It's just not reported a lot because people who use subtitles on DeoVR are pretty scarce.
