Choppy playback on some video when using virtual desktop.

I use virtual desktop to stream the SLR Steam app to my Quest 3. Some videos like 'GFE: True Love; Big Tits Babe Hardcore Ultra HD VR' play really choppy for some reason. The same video plays fine when I download it though. It doesn't seem to be an issue with virtual desktop because the framerate and bitrate are steady.

Some other videos that have this issue: Busted! - Fucking your Stepsister Lily Lou POV VR, Return to the Aquarius Spa - Wild Teen Threesome Ultra HD POV VR

I tried turning on the directshow player but this doesn't seem to make any difference. The only thing that mildly helped was setting the resolution to 1080p. I also tried to play the affected videos in the native quest 3 app and they play without issues both streaming and downloaded.

Wouldn't it make more sense to use the native DeoVR app (from the Quest store) directly on your Quest 3, instead of Virtual Desktop from your PC? Especially for streaming the videos.

For playing back downloaded videos from your PC, setup a DLNA server (like Plex server) and then connect to your PC within DeoVR to access those video files.

djham I'm using an OSR2 though so I have to use the SLR app on my PC. I think I can use MFP (if I pay) or XTplayer with the native Quest 3 app though so I'll look into that. The thing is I really like to be able to control the stroke length in the SLR app and that's not possible when using MFP I think.

@doublevr I tried to test if it behaves the same when I'm not streaming to my quest 3 but unfortunately I'm unable to select a video without my quest controller. Is there any way to do this?

I did test it using the Oculus Link function instead of virtual desktop and it was also choppy unfortunately.
