  • Compilations Completely Hidden in Sandbox

Still think it's a mistake to just get rid of "linear" compilations instead of finding a more sensible solution. While it would be fair in that case to count for all studios, e.g. VRedging could and should push back against being able to remix their own scenes. They also publish these compilations on other VR platforms and once again, thousands of paying customers favorize them, which is why they have value. Far reaching consequences for all or nothing decisions.

Personally, it still feels like I am being punished for the mistakes of others and I would know next to nothing about the why behind it if I hadn't started this thread. Moderating with the ban hammer in such a black and white manner is quite hubristic in nature. While I am working on a PMV, I fear that I must be cautious about my time investment since it seems like an SLR habit at this point to just quarantine things into the sandbox willy nilly. How long until "cool" PMVs get the same treatment when they become more saturated.

There is great potential here and I hope the moderators do come up with a positive win-win-win solution (that's paying customers-SLR-studios).

Thank you @xeddin1 for the tip. I've watched one or two of your PMVs and they are quite something. I'm not sure it's everyone's cup of tea. I for example don't necessarily like music in my porn but alas.

    double_bubble I totally agree with you. As a studio that makes linear compilations, I support everything you said above.
    We work too much and the earnings are extremely small. Plus we get comments from members who are amazed that our compilations are in the sandbox and that's not where they belong. I would like to find a solution so that everyone wins.

      I totally understand why SLR has decided to move compilation videos to the sandbox section. With many newer studios spamming generic, low-quality content, it’s becoming harder to distinguish genuinely creative compilations from mass-produced videos. Now that SLR has established a preference for PMV compilations, some studios are spamming the platform with short PMVs, which I believe will overshadow and diminish the efforts of creators producing longer and more creative content.

      I hoped that SLR’s decision would encourage compilation creators to put more thought into their work instead of simply copying and pasting clips and spamming them on the platform, ultimately harming the quality for other creators.

      I agree that we are lacking an official statement about this situation, as many of us were unaware of the decisions until this post.

      Personally, I’m a big fan of linear compilations, as I think they help maintain immersion in the videos. However, I understand why SLR might view this type of compilation as “low-effort” or generic content. That said, I hope SLR will continue to allow some creators to make linear compilations, especially those who have demonstrated creativity and gained popularity.

      Finally, please stop spamming compilations. In my opinion, this remains the biggest issue and is detracting from the platform’s overall quality.

        Achunden It's true. I can only speak for myself. I haven't published in the last 30 days using my free time to look into PMV editing but there you go. If PMVs are already being spammed I'm going to be grouped up with the rest again sooner or later. I took two months for my first two compilations and they did very well. They did very well for a reason. In fact they did better than 10-20 spam compilations together. The quality approach gets underestimated by the newer studios. As I had suggested above publications could be limited to one per week or even less but we're lacking decisiveness.

        I tried to make objective arguments which were often undermined here by whining about not being paid, which objectively nobody cares about. My last compilation was put in the sandbox and has gratefully earned me over 140 USD already, which is not bad (not good enough for me to spend 3 days on and hope for the best for, though). It's not bad because paying SLR customers want to see what I focus on in my compilations.

        There are those that formulaicly make "all cowgirl" "all this" "all that" slapping together at minimum effort. Even worse there are those that had actual AI melons in their thumbnail and blasted 2-3 such 20-30 mins videos onto the platform. What is quite upsetting is to put me in the same category as these studios and hit me with either or. I can respect that PMVs are cool but I saw splitscreen compilations and I couldn't believe it. That's supposed to be harder work than I spent on my content? I think not.

        Hairsational I agree. Let's limit uploads and they'll either get around to making quality or they'll stop entirely.

              I find it very interesting but also very gross that you believe your compilations are so great that you feel you have the right to publicly insult your fellow creators work. You insult their artwork and you insult their attempts to try something new. What is your studio name? I would very much like to see the studio that seemingly is creating content above everyone else’s.

                  xeddin1 It was not intended against you. I didn't mean to insult you at all as I have said your PMVs are quite something and obviously have lots of effort behind them. I am certainly not above all co-creators but I maintain that the compilations published leading up to the decision end of August to put everything in the sandbox were low effort and I do think a splitscreen of otherwise linear videos is a technical achievement but doesn't necessarily need more work than a normal linear compilation. That was my point there. I was probably being unfair and I agree that I must've been too judgmental in my post given the situation and my feelings around it above. I apologize.

                    I just noticed you're a compilation studio. I thought you had original content, because some videos weren't compliations, but shorter versions of already existing full videos. Now I'm confused and have to figure out whether I have the original videos or not. I see your videos are leaving a different site.

                    I see your Miley Sin video "Ass Massage Anal Fuck" is just a shorter version of EuroTeenVR's "Massage From Head To Toe"... your Miley Sin video "Fitness Workout; The Trainer's Touch" is just a shorter version of EuroTeenVR's "Gym And Cum"... your Miley Sin video "Casting Room Secrets" is just a shorter version of EuroTeenVR's "Pornstar Casting Interview".

                    What's the point of making shorter versions of videos and just cutting out content?

                        TemporaryName I don't understand what you mean by this message under this anonymous name. I don't know where you saw such content on my profile. Epic vr only contains compilations made from SLR clips. I haven't made any compilations or shorter videos from other studios. And even if I had, the studio you're talking about is enrolled in the compilation program and it wouldn't have been a problem.

                              There's another Epic VR elsewhere with the same logo that does compilations as well as shortened videos with some content cut out for some reason. The only difference is there's a space in their 'studio' name. If that's not you, you might want to look into it, because one of you stole the other's name and logo and both do compilations..

                              Anyway.. if it's not you then forget it. If it is you, my post was questioning reposting shortened videos for seemingly no reason.. like a 28 minute video is reposted with only 22 minutes for example, with pieces cut out.. or other videos are 2 or 4 minutes shorter than the originals. I posted video titles, you can search Epic VR and the video titles and should easily be able to find what I'm talking about.

                                  It is very easy to provide a link. I only see one EpicVR - and he does not post 'shortened' video clips.
                                  Though I assume you mean the Epic VR on VRporn. His clips are all being removed. Though I will admit, with the name and logo I too thought they were the same person.

So none of those video titles you mentioned are on EpicVR's SLR channel (as this is the SLR forum which pertains to the SLR site). So you come on here, throw out accusations towards a creator on SLR about videos that are not even on SLR.

                                                Like every single other studio on both of the platforms, anyone in their right mind would assume they're the same. And video selection being different on either platform is a common and likely occurance also, since they have different standards as far as alcohol or weapons for example and if they were using slr originals content, obviously that wouldn't be acceptable to be added over there... and they wouldn't be able to use the other place's content here.

Why you want to continue talking nonsense, I don't know.. waste of time.. we've already figured out the situation, that someone else apparently copied the name and logo for use elsewhere.

                                                As far as it being SLR forum, your point is irrelevant. I've asked about plenty of other videos from other studios.. Why is this Emily Bloom video not here.. oh because it has a weapon, or it has alcohol, even if it's a prop. Here was a situation where the apparently creator of the videos could be asked directly. I don't have a vrp forum account, I don't even think they ha e a forum as far as I'm aware, so epicvr was here, I asked epicvr. Common sense.

                                                    Looks like the other Epic VR with the same logo over there pissed off EuroTeenVR by reposting slightly edited versions of their videos, and now EuroTeenVR is pulling all of their videos from that platform.

                                                    So I would guess they should have figured out what was happening, asked to be compensated for the losses and maybe that platform stupidly refused... who knows, but that would make sense. Otherwise, if they were compensated for whatever Epic VR received from their videos, they'd have no reason to leave.... or a heads up, anyone that likes EuroTeenVR videos here should get them now or soon, in case they plan to leave here also.

                                                      As previously mentioned, I have initiated an investigation into the matter and have filed a complaint with the vrporn website regarding the unauthorized use of my name. Consequently, the website has chosen to close its account. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who provided valuable information to me during this process.
