  • Compilations Completely Hidden in Sandbox

I'm behind one of the newer compilation studios. I definitely tried to make all my compilations quality with lots of material and to deliver on a decent schedule, to be creative and to give SLR Premium users good content that they enjoy. I invested a lot of time and resources in preparing, planning and dedicating the next two months to producing my best work to date.

Unfortunately, compilation studios have been approved which spam quantitatively, 3 very similar compilations shorter than 30 mins in the same 24-48h with ridiculous thumbnails making us all look bad. Naturally, there is a case to be made for too many compilations now clogging up the timeline and I understand the decision to hide all compilations in the sandbox from 1st of September onwards because of it.

I certainly cannot keep spending several hours per compilation to earn back a sum total of $5 to $7 now nor will any other quality compilation studio. I am writing in the hopes that the users who enjoyed these compilations may chime in and make their voices heard. As a user myself compilators spend several hours collecting footage and splicing together those scenes that we want to see more of like chicks making out in front of our faces. It cuts 30 mins of talk, tease and blowjobs, to get to the stuff I really want to see. In a way I was also making compilations I myself would and did enjoy.

Perhaps a solution is possible, where compilations can have their own category, their own upcoming page, because simply throwing everything in the sandbox may well kill this tier of content on the site, in my humble opinion. I will accept the decision and simply move on but I feel like giving this discussion on the forums an honest try is the least I could do.

doublevr Apologies for panicking then. I thought it would go the same way as CGI scenes.

To be clear, I wasn't talking negatively about native compilations and would like to make action-filled PMVs myself in the future.

doublevr Is there any update on the current timestamp situation? Do we still have to make loads of timestamps for each video?
I would definitely do more VR PMV with lots of cool editing if I do not have to make enormous excel sheets.
      Please let me know.

There are apps that completely trivialize the process. Producer's Best Friend is what I use for Mac

Have you learned anything new about compilations?
I am also very disappointed with their views.

doublevr That is really a game changer! But if timestamps are out, are there anything else we need to do instead, when uploading compilations?

Achunden They are not removed. I just spoke with someone from the support team and he told me that those files are still needed.

double_bubble The problem is that they differentiate between studios.
Realjam posted a compilation clip 2 days ago and they put it on the feed, and they put ours in the sandbox where no one knows about them. I ended up making 50 views per day and 5 dollars per clip. It seems to me a work in vain that is no longer worth it from a financial point of view.

Yeah, RealJam is not a compilation only studio in that sense and a great one at that with a great cast and quality productions.

I am completely fine with the decisions made and looking forward to produce native PMV compilations as I applied for the job as someone who's been creating original videos and editing for over 15 years. It'd be fun to pack the action into 5 minutes, sync with the music and create a unique experience.

Achunden each compilation video can be done within one donor producer. Another video can be done from another

epicvr Sometimes they get recommended and get some attention with time that way. It was a nice gig. Gotta stay adaptable to everchanging circumstances in the digital age. Just my opinion.
