  • Compilations Completely Hidden in Sandbox

doublevr That is really a game changer! But if timestamps are out, are there anything else we need to do instead, when uploading compilations?

Achunden They are not removed. I just spoke with someone from the support team and he told me that those files are still needed.

double_bubble The problem is that they differentiate between studios.
Realjam posted a compilation clip 2 days ago and they put it on the feed, and they put ours in the sandbox where no one knows about them. I ended up making 50 views per day and 5 dollars per clip. It seems to me a work in vain that is no longer worth it from a financial point of view.

Yeah, RealJam is not a compilation only studio in that sense and a great one at that with a great cast and quality productions.

I am completely fine with the decisions made and looking forward to produce native PMV compilations as I applied for the job as someone who's been creating original videos and editing for over 15 years. It'd be fun to pack the action into 5 minutes, sync with the music and create a unique experience.

Achunden each compilation video can be done within one donor producer. Another video can be done from another

epicvr Sometimes they get recommended and get some attention with time that way. It was a nice gig. Gotta stay adaptable to everchanging circumstances in the digital age. Just my opinion.

      doublevr just to sum up:
You want more PMV’s and compilations with cool effects and editing?

And regarding the linear compilations: I have been making multiple of the most favorited compilation videos this past year (my studio is AC VR) where I mainly focus on kissing (while fucking) and other intimate or niche stuff with multiple stars. Is this something you do not want anymore although it seems to be very valuable to many of your members?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Achunden Compilations have to be cool and exciting. Like MutinyVR and VRHythm mentioned above.
Right now it’s more just a spam for most of them where I can barely see any added value. Going to check AC VR soon.

This is something we yet try to figure out. Bear with me

doublevr Thank you. That was my initial point. You took this measure when there were ridiculous uploads of pretty much the same thing without the added value within 48 hours by low effort compilators but we are not all like that. I for example made a Cum Swapping compilation people loved and there are barely any like it (by downloading SLR Originals in 8K and 6K for months and categorically arranging them to find the matching 1 min clips to make it). It took several hours over several days but it was worth doing. It's something premium SLR users want (judging by the thousands of likes). If there's too much going on limit us each to one compilation per week. There is a myriad of possible nuanced win-win-win solutions.

double_bubble let's keep figuring out. We can do whatever makes sense. Right now I'm trying to make sense how do we separate good ones and not so good ones

double_bubble I agree with you and support this initiative. At least one compilation per week we can upload, because otherwise it's really not worth the work done for 5-10 dollars earned on a film.

It would be nice if there was at least a special category, or if SLR were to promote that the compilations are in the sandbox so that all members would know this. Under these conditions, we feel that we are working in vain.

I think this is a supply and demand issue, in fact I know it is.
              For example:
Kendra Sunderland - 15 compilations to her 2 SLR scenes.
Lily Lou - 63 compilations for her 3 scenes on SLR.
Karma Rx - 23 compilations for her 2 scenes on SLR

So I don't know if compilations need to be promoted - they are abundantly there. No one is going "man if only I could find some compilations"

The problem is that for every scene on SLR there at least 10x that many compilations. There is too much supply.
Compilations are great, I love the hell out of them. Your problem is not with SLR or not being promoted enough or being hidden. The problem is that by the time you release a compilation, at least 10 others have as well, so your real problem is competition.

xeddin1 If the compilations were not wanted by the public, they stopped viewing. But they worked very well, at least in my studio. The examples given by you are ok, only that most of them made compilations from the SLR studio because it is the best known. But there are other studios that you can choose to compile their clips.

The idea is that after this decision, only a few studios will be left to make compilations because it is no longer profitable. you invest a lot of time and the results are very poor.
