pulsaralto Agreed, the current situation is clearly worse. In the end I don't see why you cannot make case-by-case decisions on these issues. What some studios (e.g. Deepinsex) did was clearly gaming the system, releasing almost identical scenes several times spaced a few months apart. I think other studios were even more egregious, actually just rereleasing scenes. VRedging in contrast did something way more sensible, namely releasing edging-type content more in line with the original aim of the studio (although I think it's fair to argue that in comparison to earlier scenes that were purely edging focused, the current HJ/BJ edits are worse in that regard), as well as more typical versions to reach a larger audience. They also labeled this very clearly, while other studios used "normal" titles to further confuse viewers that they are watching something new.
I have also dug a bit more into the issue of the Vera Jarw edging scene and I think the problem was actually that https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/voluptuous-vera-seduces-you-and-gets-creampied-56842 wasn't "fixed" correctly. Currently the streaming version is the 30 minute edging cut, but what you actually download is the full 55 minute director's cut (at least that's true for the master file, notice the 24GB file size). That's probably also why when they tried to upload the hardcore cut again it ran into SLR's automatic filters and why in scene overviews it still shows a runtime of 55 minutes. I don't really understand how this could have happened since I always thought that the studio only provides the master and SLR handles the encoding for streaming and lower quality downloads downstream from there, but there clearly was a mistake here.
