Basic economics.

If you can't make something within a reasonable price, it won't sell.

If you are niche, within niche, within niche, good luck.

It's the Netflix problem. People are frozen with choice, and won't stray far from what they know.

The greed part is, they think they'll make more money solo. Truth is, if it weren't for aggregates, most of these places wouldn't even get much of a look.

If I'm wrong, why do you think places like WankzVR still post stuff here? They're established, no? They benefit or they wouldn't be here.

If the argument is, it costs too much to make, and on the flipside people aren't willing to pay, then the tech needs to get cheaper with time. The industry is either sustainable, or it is not.

The issue, in my opinion, is that VR porn consumers have been conditioned to expect to get everything with one subscription so that has meant other sites can’t exist outside of the aggregator sites. One or two breaking away won’t work because there’s still a ton of new content coming to the aggregators and people will live without those couple of studios rather than pay another subscription.

If SLR only had their own SLRO scenes (and the same for Wankz/POVR), people would then have to make a decision to subscribe to other studios as I doubt SLRO alone would be enough for people. They’d have to subscribe to VRHush or RealjamVR or Fuckpass or Sexbabes or whatever. You would have more sites able to standalone and more sites who can take a risk without worrying about falling foul of SLR compliance.

That would mean we’re all worse off financially as we’d have to subscribe to more sites but it would probably mean a healthier VR porn industry. Instead we have this situation where everyone is trapped as there’s not enough money in going it alone so they have to put their scenes up on here to make ends meet but that then means there’s no need for us to join their own site as we get everything here at no extra cost.

As far as WankzVR goes, they only used to send really old stuff here, like years and years old. That wouldn’t really tank their subscriptions but it was probably a nice little income stream on older content that wasn’t earning them anything anymore. That was a choice for them just to earn a few extra bucks from old content. Studios like Realjam, Porncorn, SinsVR etc really have no choice, they’re stuck in a vicious circle. SLR/POVR/VRPorn simultaneously keep these 3rd party studios going and hold them back at the same time.

It’s just a pity that (aside from Naughty America) none of the big porn studios have really committed to giving VR a proper go and bringing their big subscriber bases with them. I’d love a BrazzersVR (done properly), an EvilangelVR, VixennetworkVR (Tushy, Blacked etc.) AdrianoVR, LegalPornoVR, PrivateVR and so on. I suppose Adulttime are giving it a go but they’re not making varied content like they do on their flat site. It’s just the same gonzo scene over and over.

For me personally - the biggest issue of specific VR studios is that tney usually start out having a particular type of performer which attracts me to subscribe in the first place and then they realise that to potentially attract new users they need to diversify and film a type of girl i'm not attracted to.

And as the releases are so infrequent, once a week for some studios - i can go a month or more and be paying for girls that i'm not attracted to.

That's reality unfortunately and why i will never sub to certain sites ever again.

Who in their right mind would pay for something they don't like.

That's why SLR is so good curently - Even on a bad month we get some girls that make us happy and also the access to the back catalogue when it is particularly quiet for personal taste.

I actually think there should be more girl specific VR studios as it is a guarantee of a girl i like, but totally understand there are cost implications of this.

But that's just my personal opinion

These are already gone, fyi as the 9th turned into 10th. Usually they seem to last through the day they're supposed to be deactivated. We had plenty of warning, 12 days, but if they're going to disappear at the end of the 9th, they should be labeled as the 9th, not the 10th. I think that makes it more clear that you have until the 9th and have zero shot on the 10th. Saying the 10th seems like you may still have time on the 10th to grab them.

The two RealHotVR videos above this message, also labeled as the 10th, are still available, which seems more commonplace. It seems the POVCentralVR videos have been deactivated a day early.
