                Aggregates are the only way to reach an audience, unless you are completely established.

                Nobody is going to pay a sub for each site.

                This is terrible for all involved, including the studio leaving. They just don't know it yet.

They want to get every scene from every studio for the price of one subscription and this model has made it very difficult for studios to stand on their own. This doesn’t happen in standard porn where there are countless standalone sites to choose from for all different kinks and fetishes and yes people do have to subscribe to individual sites, not just pay once and get everything.

                            Those tube sites primarily make money off ads and save on costs by serving the lowest quality they can get away with. Different model to SLR and not really comparable to standalone porn sites. I think tube sites appeal to a different market than standalone sites.

                              TemporaryName pornhub generally only has partial scenes from official sites not the full scene and not every scene ever made. People put partial scenes/trailers up to entice you to sign up for their site or buy the individual scene.

                              I agree lots of people do just go to those sites for a quick fix but actual porn fans do sign up to the sites and buy individual scenes from clip stores.

                                  This is exactly the same for the music- and media industries. And just like in those, there are multiple sites offering a wide collection for one sub. Competition still happens, content gets moved around and I suspect this will happen MORE in the future, where a studio will give rights for X period at one platform, and then move to the next just like Netflix/HBO etc. etc. Producers make their name known via these platforms which is very valuable, especially for the smaller ones.

                                  Currently SLR is priced insanely low, much lower than years ago. Netflix etc. have already increased prices many times, Spotify etc. is beginning to recently. VR is not there yet and is still expecting a LOT of new users in the future as devices become more advanced and cheaper, once the demand is there prices are going to increase.

                                  The only outlier is the lifetime option, which I'm not gonna get into I have a rant in my comments about it

                                  I'm not saying any of this is perfect, it's just how it is.

                                        Basic economics.

                                        If you can't make something within a reasonable price, it won't sell.

                                        If you are niche, within niche, within niche, good luck.

                                        It's the Netflix problem. People are frozen with choice, and won't stray far from what they know.

                                        The greed part is, they think they'll make more money solo. Truth is, if it weren't for aggregates, most of these places wouldn't even get much of a look.

                                        If I'm wrong, why do you think places like WankzVR still post stuff here? They're established, no? They benefit or they wouldn't be here.

                                        If the argument is, it costs too much to make, and on the flipside people aren't willing to pay, then the tech needs to get cheaper with time. The industry is either sustainable, or it is not.
