Oh cool thanks to both of you. I wonder what magic the devs at DeoVR can work since what Gregorio is describing sounds difficult to overcome. Blurriness wouldn't be to much of a problem, but the main problem are the proportions. Its weird when the head of the actress is in focus and becomes super big relative to her body xD

okuuma whenever I edit vr movies, if I crop it, it makes the final copy unwatchable. So my answer is No, it's not possible, but I'm not an expert. And why does it get distorted after zooming? Pixelation, I would imagine 8k videos would be less likely to suffer from it. But what it means is if you zoom, each pixel gets expanded and becomes blocky. Also found this: Frame rate: An incorrect frame rate setting can cause blurriness. A general rule of thumb is to use double the shutter speed of the frame rate. There are many, many more things to research and I suggest doing that if you have time. I have the same issue. I want to zoom in often. But it's blurry. But guess what. Your brain adjusts and you will feel more content after a minute or two

I have been editing some older 5k vids. Cropping is something I do.
Some things to consider:
-In your editing software, set the format to 8k
-Get an actual 8k VR vid segment
-Put lower quality segment on top of 8k
-set 8k opacity to 50% so you can see the outline
-Duplicate the lower quality segment
-Create inverted masks on each of the lower qual

If its still not lining up, repeat the process but create a mirror frame for the lower qual.
I'll be releasing a video in a few days which has 5k, 6k, and 8k videos in it with certain areas zoomed without messing with optical distortion.

I think the pros at SLR can pull something off. The horizontal offset has solved the scale problem for me for most studios. I play around with a number between 0 and -1 and I can get great scale without noticing any adverse effects on the overall experience.

Give em a chance at least.

Most Virtual Taboo scenes are shot poorly and IMHO not fixable in the player. For normal correction of scale / distance, Heresphere is the best player at the moment, but it's more complex than DEO. In a few minutes I can make some scenes watchable that I previously dismissed as beyond repair, and this includes adding keyframes so all parts of a scene can have their own unique settings. Once I've spent time fixing a scene I can share the Heresphere settings file with other people, so they experience the same adjustments without having to go through the same laborious process. I hope DEO implements something similar. Perhaps using AI? It should be possible, one day soon, to have AI auto color correct and adjust distance / scaling / position.

You can use the offset options(first one) to zoom in or out , works great with PT and shrinks or enlarges the girl properly. When the girl is huge and position is way far, it helps to get it to real size and adjust postion too. Same in the case where the girl is too small and dick position is on your chest 🙂 mix it up with height and little bit of zoom and you fixed it 🙂
95% of the videos are fixable like this.

Donno about regular vr, i only use PT 🙂
