Adjust Video Player Volume Logic in Quest

Can we modify the Quest video player volume control so that it sets the audio level relative to the global Quest volume, instead of changing the global volume control?

Now that we have background audio on Quest you can listen to Spotify or Youtube in the background. However, Balancing the audio is difficult or impossible with this setup (you can only increase the relative volume on your background audio but not decrease that of the video. Also you can't mute the video in case of solo vids with music etc.)

@fenderwq yes, the unification with the Meta Quest OS system. Plus, currently, the OS lacks separate volume controls for each media, which could potentially be challenging for users.

Is there a way to adjust the volume settings to be lower between DeoVR and the Q3 headset? Sometimes the lowest non-muted volume is still way too loud with some of the screamers and I'm afraid to have the volume on even two rooms away from others.

Separate volume control is what I'd call an essential upgrade for this kind of app.

The volume difference between 0 bars and 1 bar is often enormous, giving you a choice between completely muted, or too loud to be able to safely hear any background noise in your home environment... (like if someone is about to enter the room or calling for your attention)

Given that the app is for watching porn and masturbating while not being able to SEE anyone entering the room, being able to still hear it before it happens is potentially quite important to avoid embarrassment.

In Heresphere. you can set the system audio volume to one bar, and then adjust the volume WITHIN the app to use anywhere between 0-100% of that one bar. I'm not a programmer, but it seems like this shouldn't be a complicated thing to implement.

Jacksonjdr94 I was searching for a way to do this with my Q3 and have also made the same request. They need to add to the DeoVR App settings a volume adjuster that sets the max volume so that the volume within the video (which already works in concert with the physical buttons on the Q3) works between the range set in the main App settings. So if I set the Max to 50% in the App settings, I can now have twice the adjustments within that range. In other words if there are 10 bars of adjustment I would be able to change it from 10% increments to 5% increments by working withing the 0-50% range.

Some of these performers like to scream, and when combined with the video being generally louder on the volume scale, I have to stop watching, mute, or get a divorce.
