  • how i connect The Handy to the PC. So i see videos in not vr

Hello,

I have a stupid question.

But how can I connect The Handy to the PC so that I can see the video from the website (not in VR) and the scripts work?

I entered and saved my key for The Handy on the website, but when I start a video, unfortunately nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong or have I forgotten?

I also have the SLR Premium + Scripts subscription, of course.

But I still can't seem to get it to work. Thank you very much

    Hello All,

New member and handy owner here. I am also trying to get my handy to work with scripted videos here without the use of a headset so just watching with my monitor, but not sure what's wrong. My Handy is in Wifi mode, I've entered my handy connect key into my profile and when I go to a video and select the settings to chose which script to run, on the bottom left of the video it shows "handy uploading" but then it doesn't change from there even after 10 minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

TurdFurgeson Hi, congrats on your Handy purchase and welcome to SLR!

Sounds like you are really close to be connected as you have followed the steps precisely

I just checked on my end and everything should work correctly

      Might I suggest:

      • Unplugging and replugging in your Handy toy- then pressing the wifi button to reactivate wifi mode?

      • Refreshing your web browser page and try playing a video and selecting the script to run again?
(sometimes it can take up to 30 secs or so, but it should connect and show a green 'Handy' connection after the 'handy uploading' prompt)

      • Try using either Chrome or Firefox browser?

        Hello,

I am new and I have exactly the same problem mentioned above by TurdFurgeson. The Handy is recognized, but I constantly get the message "Handy uploading" as well, which indicates that it does recognize the Handy. I have plugged and unplugged the Handy several times, and I have tried both Firefox and Chrome.

Additionally, I would like to mention that on Chrome (but not on Firefox, strangely), I have a "connect" button under the video that allows connecting the device via Bluetooth. The device is recognized, and when I run the script in the video, a green button appears at the bottom left as if to indicate that it is working (but there is just the green button, with no text), but nothing happens at all, even after waiting several minutes.

However, my device works on Handyverse and Syncbrowser via WiFi and on Syncmo via Bluetooth, so there is no hardware issue. I even tried it on a smartphone with the "Haptic Connect" app and it works (even if it sometimes takes a long time to download and occasionally requires restarting the WiFi), but I am not interested in using the smartphone.

What should I do? TurdFurgeson has not provided any updates. Is the problem resolved? How?

Thank you for your help, it is very frustrating, I have been working on this problem for 2 or 3 hours without a solution!

          Hello,

I wanted to provide some feedback that might help others.

I contacted support about the issue. They asked me to check that I had the correct version on the Handyverse app. I had already done this previously but on the handyfeeling website. The version was up to date.

However, just to be sure, I checked again in case there was any change on SLR. And it works!

I don’t really know what happened because I didn’t make any changes. I just logged back into the Handyverse app (which I don’t use) whereas before I was using the handyfeeling website (which is the web version of the app, and since I don’t use SLR on a smartphone, it made sense to use the website instead of the app).

So, if anyone encounters the same issue: try logging into the Handyverse app before using SLR, it might solve your problem.

          Thank you! 🙂

boubip Thank you for leaving a comment on what worked for you which should hopefully help any others with the same issue!

RealcumberScripts Thanks for your help, think I may have had too many things opened at once. I was connect to handyfeeling first so I could adjust adjust the sync time and had bluetooth connected to earbuds then connected with the video. At first I thought maybe it was because I was using the brave browser but after restarting my computer and connecting with the video first, I had no problems. Wanted to say I noticed some of the videos I watched was scripted by you so just wanted to say thanks and keep up the good work. I just wish there were a way to adjust the sync time without having to use handyfeeling.
