I'd like some insight as to how SLR is doing these days. Are the financials healthy? Are you in the process of getting new producers?

Early 2022 I opted for the lifetime sub, I've gotten my monies worth by now.
Sadly though, in this time frame quite a few things changed

-SLR scenes went from 10-14 a month down to 7-8 (if we're lucky), half of these are PT which for me personally brings it down to around 4 scenes a month, 90%+ from one director with the same male talent.
-DL limits have been reduced 3 times, whether you were an existing member or not didn't matter.
-Big studio's left and/or scenes have been removed (VRB / Swallowed / much more). The only worthwile studio we got in the meantime is VRPlayful, an excellent studio but content is rare. KinkVR could be great but they're posting 4k stuff from 2015.

The hole that OnTheTelly left still needs to be filled, any insights into whats next?

    Hmm.... I can't speak much to the general SLR scenes as I don't watch many of those. I'm mostly interested in Raw Taboo (Milfs) or taboo in general and I'm twisted here because those few that come is actually GREAT. However the word 'few' is also key here as there certainly seem to be longer and longer between such content. It's weird to me given it always seem well received. 🤷 when I joined long ago it was with the hope that the Penny Barber type scenes would be an ongoing theme, just with different models, but alas that doesn't seem to have materialised. Maybe I'm just judging the popularity wrongly. I don't know.

    I've only been here for a little over a year, but in that year they've lost 2 of their producers and replaced them with a new producer that is exclusively shooting Euro girls, half of whom don't even speak english. So that part isn't great.

    Also losing Wankz and Swallowed sucks. Wankz especially for me, even though they were older scenes they were usually pretty good.

    VRSpy is new, but it is basically just filling the void of the lost SLRO content using the same director as SLR. it's pretty good content at least.

    Overall i would say i'm not unhappy yet, but i am not currently excited for anything in the future. If they had anything new and exciting planned i think they would have shared it with us, so my feeling is that this is the new norm.

    Maybe TMI, but i haven't cum to a new SLRO scene since the Anna Claire Clouds scene 2 months ago. The quality just hasn't been as good lately, though that's just my opinion, i'm sure others have been happy with it.

    Edit: I forgot to mention the AI scripts, those have definitely been a huge improvement for getting scripts for scenes that humans weren't going to script. SLR's scripts are the primary reason i renewed my yearly subscription in spite of the lower scene frequency and quality.

    adinihsan we are working hard to establish a strong production pipeline. A lot is happening from behind as it’s clear no one else is getting into innovation as we do, yet we don’t always have people to accomplish these. We are actively looking for the top talent to join us. Those producers you mention were impossible to work and they went nowhere. Nothing we can do here.

    On downloads it’s around 1% of users that download more than 25 videos a month.

    Your lifetime investment gets you extra ROI daily as we keep adding more content, AI PT and Scripts, DeoVR streaming, etc.

    From now on content situation should only change to the better.

    @justsomedude101 is gone for better as there was little community engagement. We are looking for someone to bring it up to the next level.

        Lifetime member. I think for four or five years now. Very happy with overall, but I do think the site isn't as good. But still my favorite site by far. I'm not sure SLR is to blame, though. I think the loss of VR Bangers, Wanzkvr, and some others has a lot to do with it. To somewhat balance it out are the great developments with passthrough and scripts. And it seems like the female performers aren't as attractive overall. But that's my personal preference. SLR is still my favorite site by far. Not even close.

        I still love SLR and I visit the page everyday if I can. I do think having another US crew in the mix was helpful with casting and creative diversity though. I was actually watching some old OnTheTelly and AlexMack stuff last week and there was a lot to like. Nash is still my top though, across all studios, and I'm glad he's still making scenes for SLR and a double dose with VRSpy.

        However, I would answer this question as "worse" because 2023 was quite frankly one of the most EPIC years for SLR. We had THREE HAREM scenes, a scene that took us around in a limo and up in a plane, a Europe tour, fresh and exciting Raw Taboo BGGG scenes ("Mean Sis" with a darker ambience, "Pussy Play" with kitty/kinky roleplay, etc), the start of Naughty Alchemy series, scenes with big tits (Angel Youngs, Blake Blossom, Kendra Sunderland, Dan Dangler... I mean, my goodness!), and in total EIGHT BGGG scenes and one BGGGG scene! In 2024, we have only had one scene with more than two women, a BGGG, and we are now already in July. 😥

        I am really pumped about the potential harem scene coming up, but that aside, I really think we need some more BGGGs on a regular basis (like once a month). Especially since NaughtyAmerica left that BGGG void wide open after they stopped Friday Foursomes last year. Please fill it SLR! And don't get me started on VRB... VRB has been "cosplaying" SLR for the past 6 months, releasing several BGGGs and scenes with the exact same pairings of models and themes, and my goodness they all pale in comparison. They have no idea how to make them intimate and compelling. SLR needs to show them how it's done!

        My vote is just content based but im sure that this will be adjusted for the better in time. Its compensated also with all the innovation SLR brought to vr porn. AI PT alone is worth a lifetime membership in my opinion. Also with the cloud option they are working on right now, can`t wait for that 🙂

        Since I've joined, JAV content has always been splendid. Except I'm just now getting to watch them fully after catching up on all non-jav content. Recently I was graced with this tongue kissing scene from 4 years ago which is my new obsession along with face close-ups. On the plus, all of my favorite big JAV studios are still here: Fantastica, KMPVR, SODCreate to name a few, and my jav playlists are still intact.

        It surprises me year after year how SLR Cams continue to have new and unique models that just captivate me. The beauty is not just in appearance, but in performance and idleness as well. I'm an annual subscriber, and just having JAV and Cams are enough for me to continue my yearly subscription. 🤗

        SLR is the best site ever, what the hell is wrong with y'all? OnTheTelly and Alex Mack don't know shit. You can go see Alex Mack's generic production on NAVR, it's completely unwatchable. I know SLR made some sacrifices to get into this situation, but it's still producing the most innovative content compared to other sites. Life has its ups and downs. You didn't need to make a thread for this nonsense. SLR is my favorite site, it always has been, and it will remain so.

        As for the downloads, nobody cares about those anymore. Everyone will eventually start streaming only. As DoubleVR mentioned before, only 1% of users download more than 25 scenes per month. So, no one will notice the difference. Plus, they're not removing downloads completely like VRB did. SLR cares about its customers, and that's why we're getting informed about what's happening behind the scenes. Let's just hope for the best

          I know for some of you it’s never enough. Simply because not SLR, nor TikTok, nor Tinder or Instagram can fix all human requirements in communication and intimacy. Even real life relations or sex is never enough.

          If you are unhappy about content come up with scene and cast suggestions that we will be happy to bring into life. No one out there is putting so much effort to make things work.

            Clearly you didn't see the backlash when VRB removed the download button from their website. So many people were angry that they had to lock their forum.

            Why do downloads need to be limited if virtually nobody is downloading more than 1 vid a day? I don't think that question has been directly addressed.

                      There’s a 98% difference of 25 downloads a month and no downloads. No downloads has never been an option, nor loyal customers are going to see much of a limit change.

                        Largly disappointed from SLR this year. I joined last year with a yearly membership during an insane hot streak of scenes. Don't like the direction of the new Euro PT studio. If I wanted euro chicks I would go to Virtual Real porn. I don't mind the occasional euro actress like Jia Lissa or Lilly Bella but outside of that not interested at all. SLRO haven't peaked my interest since Anna Claire Clouds and Lexi Luna, literally have only been waiting for the Chloe Temple scene. The only value I find at SLR that I can't find anywhere else is their custom and AI scripts. I don't know how but SLR AI scripts are better than other AI scripts being offered anywhere else. The ease of use in setting up and connecting your sex toy is unmatched atm. Really, it's the only thing keeping my subscription ATM bc it's just too good with the catalog of old scenes on the site. Even if I don't renew my yearly subscription I will still be holding onto the scripts and probably just buy each scene individually that I like bc so far this year the amount of scenes that I actually go back to, I could count on 1 hand.

                          There was really no need to hit me with those. I already gave my opinion in other threads dedicated to that topic.

                          It didn't really bother me when they moved the download button to their app; it's their business. What bothered me the most was when they removed the 6k/8k streaming options from the site, and I found myself with no other option other than having to use that stupid app to watch their content. But it's fine for me now since I got the download button back on the site using that extension.

                                    Regarding the downloads, I'm fine with the current video limits (scripts at 3 definitely not), but stop changing it all the time, make up your mind and stick with it. People pay expecting X limits during their sub, changing continuously is not a proper way to do business.
