erniescar69 Are you seeing these because you have a subscription? Because on their join now page, they do not even mention this ('up to 5K'). For a short while, their videos had very high bitrates and huge file sizes but even those were 5K.

SchnuppiLilac I don't have a sub at sexbabesvr. This morning I saw a post on a forum that had a new upload at 7K so I went to the site and checked it out myself. If you go to the sexbabesvr site and click on any video, then click on the download now button and then choose Oculus quest/quest 2 it has 7K 3584P. I checked through the history and found they started 7K on May.19 2023 with the Eve Sweet Long Night scene.

erniescar69 Thanks. Bit odd that they do not mention this anywhere more visible. In any case, all the major aggregators are only getting 5K.

SchnuppiLilac Yeah, It is strange that they haven't updated the site to promote the 7K res. Hopefully they will start uploading the 7K versions here.

I was a member until a couple weeks ago and don't recall ever seeing 7K under Quest 2. I think this is a very recent addition.

I always kind of figured their rig was capable of 7k as their picture quality has always been good, and looked pretty much the same as all the other major 7k Euro studios as far as scale, depth, etc. I guess they for some reason didn't want to change the workflow to include the 7k files until now...

But this is great news for sure. I think SexBabesVR makes some awesome scenes, and if their 7k is exclusive to their site, it's time for me to re-sub directly to them so I can grab some of my fav scenes in the last year in 7k.

g2kbuffetboy My guess is that they are starting to upscale now. They are at a disadvantage when they have a maximum of 5K and every other site is upscaling to 7-8K. Customers just see a number and don't know that most sites are still using 5K cameras.

Looks like the next scene coming to SLR will be 7K. Was already released in 7K elsewhere today.

Sounds like we're not sure either whether it's native 7k or upscaled, but either way we do indeed have the 7k versions incoming.

The new 7k scene looks worse than the 5k scenes from over 4 years ago.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the 5k rig and far superior to most 8k setups.

Why change it ?

Edit: In fact after further testing, i don't think it's a new rig at all, it probably upscaled 5k to 7k that looks worse for obvious reasons.

I've downloaded a 5k version of the new scene and it looks fine and on par with previous 5k scenes.

Download the 5k version as it looks sharper IMO and probably the native resolution !

I had watched the 7K and 5K trailers for this scene from their website. Couldn't say if one of them was better than the other but my impression was that 7K had no notable benefit over 5K. But considering how this thread started (why only 5 when there is 7), it is obvious why they are doing it.

I was wondering about this as well. When I started this topic I just assumed that SexbabesVR had updated their camera rig and that the higher res would be even better quality. I haven't had a chance to watch the new 7K scene or compare it to 5K as you have but if they are simply upscaling then maybe they can make some tweaks and improve visual quality of the 7K versions.
