  • What happened with SLR Passthrough Alpha videos ? No update for months ?!s

rerun119 I read people saying the distances are way to far away. For the life of me do not understand why any new director would not shoot a bunch of test distances before spending money on making a scene.

Just to give my perspective.

I think the distance is fine in doggy and missionary but far too close in laying cowgirl. I can't figure out why people think that's too far away when in PT the dick is literally in my navel during laying down positions.

I'm average high (6 feet) so it can't be because I'm too tall so I figured that maybe they are below average but every time I've asked for the height of those that yell 'too close' in other scenes I don't get a reply, so I don't know.

Then there's the prople that just want to be 'close to the action' and don't give a guck about correct distance. It's fine of course - whatever floats your boat, but it's just not POV in my book.

So I don't know. I obviously can't see what these people are seeing but I can't get my head around that a stunt cock that is fine in doggy/missionary and literally in my naval in laying position is 'too far away'.

I'll be honest if they move the camera closer I'm out.

      I am about the same height and could make all positions work except one. Even laying CG worked for me in a reclined seating position by dragging the picture up a little. The only bit that didn't fit was the third missionary when watching it standing, dick being at belly button level.

                  boboweb I stand with boboweb. SimsenseMedia SLR Originals AR videos were absolutely amazing paired with Quest 3, especially the most recent releases. Please reconsider resuming production.

                  I haven't watched the latest AR release from MannySX, however, the trailer alone is cringe. I'll have to report back.

                      Anyone skipping through the scene is going to see some random floating dick all over the damned frame, it's terrible for immersion, it's a problem for VR in general and I've never heard a good reason why consistent cock position / distance is not the default. Baffling.

                              Yeah wasn't that bad, scaling was on the small side but HOS fixes that, I had my zoom at -8, the glow is noticeable but haf it just looks like sum futuristic hologram, picture quality was kinda meh but with the pt on it blends in with the not so great meh pass through.

                              Story wise, I thought it was unique, something different 👍

                              Man, it really not bad, in a dim room and turn the contrast and brightness on the video it blends in nicely and the glow hardly noticeable.

                                vrpicasso I have wondered if SLR could make a setting that AI detects where the dick is and always moves the image to the exact same place every time. Basically moving all the setting around for us

                                    I agree that there should be profiles for male models. I think it's only fair they get credited to. I'm just not sure how it would solve the issue where I see people arguing the stunt cock is too far way when it's literally at my belly button. I'm really trying here but I simply cannot figure these guys out or imagine what they see in the headset.

                                      TechnoT5 Okay, I really do appreciate the efforts, however, the Forest Nymph is a HUGE step backwards from SimsenseMedia. The scaling and resolution are way off, and the halo from CGI background makes it that much worse. I hope improvements are made promptly and look forward to future releases. Still very disappointed to not have any new releases from SimsenseMedia.

                                          Scaling may be very subjective. Overall I thought it was alright.
                                          Image quality I would agree. Let's hope it was due to the foliage background.
                                          Regarding CGI background, I understand the feedback was heard and it will be avoided in the future.

                                          You can find a few new releases elsewhere now. While image quality is good, I think all the videos had massive scaling issues that never occurred on SLR (like in laying CG the dick seemed farther away than my feet).

                                                  You can try doing this, it might work

                                                  But go to the pt options and turn off the over ride switch.

                                                  Then pick a pt video, go to a laying cg rcg part.

                                                  Turn on 6dof, put the slider to about 0.60

                                                  Press and hold menu, this recenters image, turn head to right or left and hold menu will position where u looking.

                                                  But this what you are going to do.
                                                  While u are laying and have the girl on top of you and the dick is up by your bellybutton, do a sit up and she'll move down, and when she lined up over your dick area click and hold menu button and lay back down.

                                                  She should stay where your positioned her to be, you gotta mess with it to get the hang of it. It's like zooming out while the 6dof is on.

                                                  But hopefully during this life time slr adds zooming and dome rotation with roll available while the 6dof is on so we won't have to do all that I just layerd out.

                                                  Basically what your doing is positioning the model over your dick area and you are moving away from her but she stays in the spot you left her.

                                                  Side note.
                                                  Try putting slider at 1.00 if you need more zooming out, just mess around with it.

                                                  Oh and bro, if you need them further down cuz you tall af then do a full sit up and up the slider more too.

                                                  I normally hold menu button first, it'll look like it's zoomed in, but then i sit up and lean my head forward and hold menu again then lay back down, you zoom away from her. 👍

                                                    The fisheye part I was able to fix by changing the projection setting in HS. I could also enjoy those parts during which the female performer is close but in the laying position I felt the scaling along the depth axis was way off, like Peter Green was 8 ft tall.

                                                      The fix for Zazie is up on the server, though might not be ready by tomorrow, that's not on our side, that more of a server processing speed, lately been quite an issue and improvements are being considered.

                                                      • 3 more scenes were shot last month and were just uploaded to slr:
                                                        Charlie Red, Florane Russel and Olivia Sparkle.
                                                        These scenes i personally attended and tried to help with whatever was possible.
                                                        We tried to bring more edging into them and i think it was quite good. Honestly can't wait for them to be released.
                                                      • 2 more scenes were just shot on may 16 and 17 with Alexis Crystal and Katy Rose.
                                                        Those were filmed by George solely, again edging inclination. Scenes are in the post processing stage.
                                                      • and lastly 6 scenes are scheduled in upcoming months with:
                                                        Nelly Kent, Matty Mila Perez, Isabella de Laa, Fibi Euro, Lia Lin, Stacy Cruz

                                                      Yes i fucked up with this forest thing and i apologized for that.
                                                      I had hopes for it, but no more, at least not in Passthrough.
                                                      However i have to add that I've spent a bunch of time and put really lot of effort into the demo scenes.

                                                      • Firstly i wanted to make 3 series that were supposed to be connected/continued.
                                                        For that i've made 3 original scripts, however due to language problems we had to reduce the words and simplify the script.
                                                        For that we needed 3 models that would fit the roles. I went through the casting suggestions on the forum and made a list of the models that users wanted. Did you like the models?
                                                      • chose the outfits, two of which i bought personally by walking in the stores, also chose the accessories online. Did you like the outfits?
                                                      • went into the forest 2 times to film the best shots and spent quite some time on fiddling with stereo and angles to match with the footage. (you didn't like it)
                                                      • wrote a freaking voiceover text by myself which i agree didn't really fit, but i though it was cool in term of the plot. (it wasn't and you didn't like it)
                                                      • lastly tried new keying technics which are better then the previous once and i hope you will notice and like it.

                                                      So with forest and voiceover being removed, we are left with good models and good outfit and newer/better keying and some kind of the connected plot.
                                                      What else is crap?

                                                          Wendigo I saved those vids directly to my Q3 and so changing the file name wasn't possible via the headset. In using Heresphere with PT was easier (I already had it). The VRP alphas are ok. Nothing like SLRs alpha streak from September, IMO.

                                                            I don't know how you guys are going to get around the language barrier with the eastern european girls.
                                                            This might just be a me thing but I don't think any of the european studios can ever have as good of VR because of this.

                                                            VRPlayful put in the best effort I have seen with making a long great story that moved from place to place. Unfortunately because of language the story really never goes anywhere.
                                                            I am not trying to take anything away from the studios or the girls. I just happened to be born in America and only know english. I assume that most of the people watching VR porn speak english.

                                                            I feel like the PT shot in europe is just going to be different girls in my bed. No real story. This is a long term problem if some other company starts making PT with american girls that can actually talk to you.
                                                            Good luck with the whole thing and think about getting an american team going again.
