From my point of view, I think VRSpy is excellent (I am subbed to them directly as well), and there have been several incredible SLROriginals the last few weeks/months as well. In particular:

(BGGG) Sexual Anthropology with Agatha Vega, Nicole Aria, and Angel Gostosa
(BGG) Raw Taboo: Situationship with Coco Lovelock and Haley Spades
(BGG) Between Us 1: Rebound with Melanie Marie and Chanel Camryn

In fact, I keep seeing on SLR's Twitter account that Sexual Anthropology is still the top scene of the past month. It really is such an incredible scene.

And then we have this thread that just popped up a few days ago: https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/7297-what-happened-to-slr-magical-scenes-like-this, which highlighted the wonderful (BGGG) Raw Taboo: Pussy Play.

The main problem is... we are getting so few updates these days. One SLR Original scene per week? What happened to the glory days of SLR Originals? Harem Dream Team, Sexual Alchemy, Ripped Tights, etc

Aside from SLR Originals though, the OP is right that there are just a crazy amount of compilation vids, and now several studios are re-releasing old scenes and passing them off as new ones. It's rather frustrating.

But for me, the main reason I've always subbed to SLR is for the SLROriginals. And it's been disappointing we have so few scenes these days, and we have to wait months and months for a big group scene BGGG or higher. I really hope SLR Originals can "ramp up" again soon.

@doublevr Exactly. I'm glad the production team sees it the same way, and I hope you do too. These scenes are the type of content that Alex Nash does so well. We need more of it, more frequently. Particularly BGGG, and other "epic" scenes that include curvy stars as well.

I agree with this as well. Voting is nice for the active forum users and it is important to reward that loyal fanbase (customer satisfaction is key), but it doesn't cover all the demos. I would love to see more variety.

I was coming to the forums to express my dissatisfaction lately and sure enough someone’s already done that today! I can boil it down to a few things:

1) Quality of the actresses in SLR original videos… I can appreciate that you guys try to find new models but some are just not attractive (I get that is a subjective opinion but I think most would agree). And I see suggestions for quality actresses on your forums all the time but they seem to be overlooked by whoever is doing the casting. Maybe it’s a money thing? Well known models are more expensive I’d think? I don’t want to bash any one person in particular but it seems like some of the girls were plucked off the street and put in front of a camera. And not the girl-next-door kind of girl.

2) Departure of quality studios. I think this one’s pretty self explanatory. VRBanger, Swallowbay are just two off the top of my head.

3) Seems like anyone who wants to post can post here. There are been some downright weird videos being posted lately. Studios that have been posting, to put it nicely, videos that are extremely niche... extremely. For instance there was a video today of a girl with gross dirty feet cleaning them. That was the video. She just cleaned her gross feet. I get it feet is a fetish for some people but it was pretty much just a video of someone cleaning their feet. It just seems like anyone with a camera and an idea is able to post here. I guess if SLR is going for quantity over quality then you’re doing a good job but I don’t think most people here want quantity. They’d prefer quality and right now the quality here is lacking.

@ point 3: i mean theres things like VRSUN now which is literally just old youtube content rereleased over several platforms (its also in deovr video library as well as PicoVRs own libarary)

Yah7zee It's depressing how much the casting suggestions are completely ignored. There's almost never any kind of response on them unless it's a girl they were already planning on shooting.

In my opinion SLR should have a community manager who's actually participating in conversations about casting and making an effort to give out information on the suggestions they're looking into and the ones they don't think are possible.

While I agree with the whole post I think that is the key. Having a lot of quality videos being released by quality studios is the most important factor. I don't know why but there seems to be a downward slide. Not sure why the studios that have left did so. Maybe have a re-look at the revenue splits? tbh I don't know what they are, but a suggestion.
Without quality content, having a great tech side of the business is not going to mean anything. You will not be able to command a premium price without premium content. No amount of passthrough or 6dof or whatever is next will change that.

Manny_S what i had seen before was over at VRcosplay years ago when they booked Violet Myers, they polled which cosplay scene idea to put her in instead of which actress to book for one scene idea. that way you book the actress and just worry about what idea to put her in. That way worked well too

You used to have this with Mack taking care off the girls that Nash typically wouldn't cast.

Agreed casting has been overall terrible for a while. I think part of the problem is that it’s just so subjective and people are suggesting hundreds of different models, there’s no way to cycle through all of it. I actually think a poll with only 10 choices is the best way to do it. Go through and take the 10 models that have been mentioned the most in the forums over the past 6 months and get a poll going. You’re never going to please everyone but this would be a way to please a bigger percentage.

Cause right now it does feel very much like “as long as we put something out it’s cool and people will stay interested” and that won’t last too long as soon as other studios start blowing you away. Vrbangers and vrconk are blowing everyone out of the water right now with the visual quality, scale, immersion and casting. And it’s not even close. If they started releasing scenes more often I don’t think povr or SLr would survive much longer.

The most recent vrconk scenes are insane how good they are from a quality/resolution standpoint. It’s the most realistic I’ve seen. I’m not even into cosplay. In fact, I hate the cosplay stuff in general but their casting is so damn good that I find myself watching it anyway because those top quality models barely shoot for other studios.

The quality v.s. quantity scale is out of balance, I'd say. I guess I don't mind if it exists, but it needs to be filtered out from view almost entirely everywhere (lists, notifications, all over) if it hasn't met a quality gate.

It feels a bit like logging into Netflix and all you see is no new shows but random reposts of old movies and random fan clips from kids remaking hollywood movies in their living room. There is probably a new episode of a show you're interested in somewhere in there, but you can't quite ever find it amongst all the other stuff:

"Strange woman sleeps motionless on couch far away from camera"
"Various Asian Actors Walking Outside At Night (Edit)"
"Poorly edited auto-generated greenscreen content that accurately cuts out 11% of the edges of items which is also just a copy of that other video over there"
"F.R.I.E.N.D.S.: All Season 2 Shots Where Someone Walks Through A Doorway"
"Season 6, Episode 7: But with 15 extra minutes added to the version we released 2 months ago, you'll have to rewatch the whole thing to find out where"
"That Movie You Watched Last Week That Wasn't Ready At The Time But We Re-Released It As A Copy With The CGI Effects Finally Added, Oops"

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the occasional YouTube video on a niche topic. But I'm not going to pay for it for the content subscription like I would for Netflix or HBO or someone who balances quality and quantity and it's not just a free for all The tech angle is fine, but the growth of the tech has to go along with the curation of high quality content and partners if the customers are to go along for the ride and fund it.

I think mostly in that thread they refer to overall and other studios casting in slr platform. As for originals we have the top trending casting with combination of famous models and in the same time sometimes taking risks trying new models. I personally think our casing is similar but most of the times much better then vrbangers, also scenes much better in terms of storytelling, model performances, amount of positions + our viewers get more minutes for their money as our scenes are longer then theirs and give variety of fetishes and other goodies to enjoy for variety of audience. On cosplay they do a good job with costumes, and set decorations but they particularly produce cosplay content for vrconk platform. We time to time do cosplays but I think it’s still a niche and not for most of the viewers. Our castings and scenes still the top scenes on the whole slr platform. It’s been in the past year and continues till now. I think it’s tenders to be even more popular as we cut on releases and it created more anticipation for slroriginals. Many waiting and craving for originals each scene to come out.
Also many suggestions on forums come from fans of particular models, obviously they want them to be in our casting and we do look over them, inquire statistics and status of the model only then making a decision on casing and pairing.

doublevr Thing is, i don't compare the quality of SLR Originals casting against the other studios that post videos here. You guys are higher quality than pretty much all of them. I compare the current SLR Originals casting against the casting you guys used to do, like great scenes with 2-3+ A list talent girls that make your jaw drop. Lately BGGG scenes seem really rare and when you do do them they seem to be 1 A lister and 2 new or less popular girl. A lot of the BG scenes lately are new/less popular girls too (or at least new to me).

You guys are still doing good work, it's just not jaw dropping stuff like you used to do IMO

I agree, SLR Originals and SLR is still great and I love how passthrough is evolving and all that but we definitely had more top tier content and more scene releases in general in the past. Especially noticeable in the fewer stand out scenes and scenes with more than 2 girls. Still, as I gather, SLR is going through a bit of a transition lately so I bet it will get back to that pretty soon. I have faith
