[deleted] Hard for me to pick a favorite there, but they all have a better view of the girl and a better body alignment for the guy than the SLR angle.

SLR's angle is good for eye contact though, so there's that.

I love jav, czechvr's, Nash's and John Strong's closeup missionary angles.

To me the biggest difference is that the SLR camera placement is closer to the face which makes it feel very intimate (and I love that).

I think they capture different closeup missionary positions:
Jav/Czechvr (and other studios): guy is hovering on top

  • easy to appreciate the performer's assets
  • fantastic body alignment

Nash/John strong (SLR): guy is literally on top, full body contact, and ready to go in for a kiss at any moment.

  • easy to appreciate facial expressions
  • legendary eye contact

I personally would love to see both angles and get rid of regular/far-away missionary shots (in my opinion).
I can't pick one angle because it depend on the mood (see assets jiggle or get lost in the performers eyes) 😅

[deleted] Thanks for great the examples. Hopefully this illustrates to SLR how it can be done better.

I think SLR's position a bit too close for minutes at a time. In the JAV one the camera is further out and moves in closer temporarily for the super close up. That's how I'd like to see it done ideally.

MickyCheese Nash/John strong (SLR): guy is literally on top, full body contact, and ready to go in for a kiss at any moment.

Not exactly – the guy isn't on top, the camera is. When you look down you see that the guy is standing like 1.5m away at the edge of the bed and it breaks the immersion because your reference points (arms, chest, dong) don't align with reality.

Hairsational Totally agree, I meant it feels like you are on top with full body contact and looking down seeing the guy standing does break immersion.

In my opinion that shot is only immersive if you don't look down and just focus on the performers eyes/face. Still appreciate it very much because I'm in the mood for that 50% of the time.
