  • Can purchased JAV videos be downloaded?

There are several studios that don't allow downloads normally but I see there is a buy button on those videos so I'm wondering if the download will be enabled if I buy them separately, otherwise I don't even see why anyone would buy them.

Also if downloads work for such videos will they count against my 30 download limit and is there a way to see what the maximum resolution for these downloads will be before buying the video?

Per the download question, most JAV studios, unfortunately, are a bit uneasy about allowing new'ish content to be downloaded without DRM so they remain streaming-only.

ZENRA Even when purchased separately using the buy button here?

In that case what even is the point of buying them? It's not like there is a limit on how much I can stream something.

Also it does not seem to matter if the content is new or old, the studios I checked that don't allow allow downloads have the button disabled for both new videos and the ones that are 5+ years old if I sort by new and go to the end of the list.

If you REALLY like a video, I suggest you buy it to keep it in your library forever. You never know when the studio or SLR policies might take the vids down, as we already experienced in the past year (a TON of content was removed because of new compliance rules).

WaifuDegen69 Buy would be ala carte streaming. It's not optimal and we really want to convince the JAV studios otherwise, but it's the only way at the moment we can license the content for access on SLR. The best suggestion I can make is (POLITELY) email studios in simple English that you wish to be able to download older releases and perhaps things may change.

WaifuDegen69 Hey, the JAV studios don't allow downloads due to the Japanese regulations they have to follow, it doesn't matter if you own the video or not. If you purchase a JAV video, you can only stream it, since the download option would still be unavailable.

As for the download counter, this is only active if you own a subscription, this doesn't apply to the purchased videos. If you own a video, you can download it as many times as you like, no matter the resolution. For the size of the downloaded file, you can check it straight from the DOWNLOADS tab under the video, but once again, keep in mind that JAV videos don't have this.

        Hope this clarifies it!
