trooowiii exactly, thats the point. supposedly one of their future app updates will allow you to swap custom backgrounds whether you want to use CGI or other user submitted ones. They even mentioned that you would be able to program backgrounds to change at certain time stamps, meaning each angle change.
They need to seriously streamline and simplify PT videos so we can make all sorts of backgrounds for these videos. I've got pretty good test results and measurements for one of their scenes so far. My next step is to go out somewhere and shoot actual video so I can render out the scene with a moving video background instead of a static picture, which should be even crazier. Imagine being on a beach with people walking around, the sounds, the immersion should be awesome.
One big problem tho is the male character, right now you just have a floating penis with a custom background and no way of putting your actually body instead. I'm also working on a few solutions to that, but for now the SLR team has said they may shoot the male with a different greenscreen suit so that you can then chroma out the body separate from the background, so then your body would peek through that silhouette. That sounds ok, but I'm looking into better solutions. That or simply keep the original male body altogether like their first scenes. It doesnt personally take away from the PT immersion for me if I dont see my body, its the surroundings that really make a difference for me, not the male. To each their own I guess, but people dont seem to mind seeing the male body in non-PT scenes but suddenly wont accept the male body in PT scenes despite the awkwardness of constantly having to adjust and move around just to line it up somewhat closely. haha
