I've been having a lot of issues lately accessing cams. I'm seeing lots of freezing and lag. It will work fine for a minute or two, then freeze again.
I've double checked that it's not my internet (no other internet issues), and in fact other chat users were complaining about the same thing so I'm 100% sure it's not specific to me.
I've seen the same issue with multiple cam models (tested). Some freeze worse than others, but I'm seeing the same issue with numerous cams.
Not sure what info you need, but I'm accessing via Quest 2 VR.
Cam model lag/freezing issues
I’ve been having the same issue with a quest 3 using DeoVr. Started last weekend which is also when the re-centering of menus changed.
For info, the same models are fine on Stripchat.
Hey, wtpgb & Electricbrush, thank you for reporting! I have passed this to the developer team to check.
In the meantime, could you please follow the instructions below and provide us with the headset logs?
- Open the run window (Windows key + R)
- Enter and run: C:\program files\oculus\support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusLogGatherer.exe
- Wait for the executable file to pop up
- Select logs for the last 24 hours
- Wait for the log collection to finish. It should pop up a Windows Explorer window at the location of your newly collected logs.
- It automatically generates a zip file and copies the zip to the clipboard so you can paste it to your desktop
- Attach this zip file to your next support response
Thanks!
Plus one 'Quest 2' same issue
Hello guys,
The team is investigating this issue but we would really appreciate if you could send us the logs as it would really help them out.
For Quest (2 and 3 - should be the same steps) devices, here are the steps:
- Open the run window (Windows key + R)
- Enter and run: C:\program files\oculus\support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusLogGatherer.exe
- Wait for the executable file to pop up
- Select logs for the last 24 hours
- Wait for the log collection to finish. It should pop up a Windows Explorer window at the location of your newly collected logs.
- It automatically generates a zip file and copies the zip to the clipboard so you can paste it to your desktop
- Attach this zip file to your next support response
Thanks!
Thanks for looking into it. Sorry for my ignorance but I’m using DeoVR with a Quest 3 standalone, nothing to do with a PC. How do I get what you need?
Problem still happening and people still complaining in the chat room.
I apologise, the steps I have posted are supposed to be for the Rift S devices, not Quest 2/3!
I've found the following article on how to collect logs from Quest 2/3 devices using the SideQuest app: How to collect logs using SideQuest
I understand this may be a bit more technically demanding so if you're unable to generate the logs that is perfectly fine but if you're able to the team would very much appreciate it!
Again, apologies for posting the incorrect steps!
Any progress on this topic? It's really frustrating specially when you tip and it freezes right away
FWIW it also happens on my Pico 4, has for the past few weeks or so
Hey jommy, at the moment, I don't have any new information on the matter other than that it is being still worked on.
I understand this is a very frustrating situation so I really appreciate the patience you all have shown on this!
The issue seems to be increasing in frequency for me on my Quest Pro.
The cams are nearly unusable for me - I certainly don't feel comfortable spending my tokens with how frequently (and randomly) they freeze.
Sometimes (more and more rarely) things will be going fine for several minutes before a freeze other times it will freeze within two seconds of opening a cam constantly and I'll need to try a cam 10+ times before it will last a few minutes.

Exactly the same for me on Quest 2
Quest 3, good internet connection - never any issues streaming SLR scenes but the cam feed is very sporadic. I guess this is a DreamCam server issue.
vrpicasso I guess this is a DreamCam server issue.
From time to time I am watching the same VR cams on Stripchat (because there are more of them) and there are times during the day when it's impossible to get any cam loading. Most of the time, the situation is a bit better on SLR compared to SC. So I think it's definitely a server capacity issue at DreamCam.

I've recently bought Quest 2 and also experience these freezes (so I can't tell when the problem started or whether it's getting worse). It definitely doesn't look like server capacity issue. I've never seen these freezes (and still don't) on my old Oculus Go. Also I see no such problems for other cam sites (there can be lags and a lot of buffering, but never a total freeze out of the blue that never recovers).
And even if it was a server/networking issue, the app should just detect that the bits stopped flowing and try to open a new connection, right? It actually works this way for some cam models where the connection is lagging.
Interestingly, very rarely it's not a complete freeze, but extremely slow playback, like 1 or 2 FPS for several seconds, followed by several seconds of playback at around 2x speed, like it's trying to catch up. But the audio never comes back and usually it quickly freezes anyway.
Until you solve the underlying issue, maybe a kind of workaround would be to have an action that can be assigned to a button that forces stream connection reset. Pushing one button from time to time would be much less annoying than having to go back to the menu, find the model again and select her.
My schedule has me all over the place and there seems to be no correlation between time/day of the week - it happens at all hours.
It used to be the case that when this would happen the screen would go black and there'd be a spinner for a short bit and then the stream would resume - but I rarely get that screen anymore - it just freezes (or does 1 fps playback for a few seconds until it freezes).
Additionally the freeze seems to only happen in DeoVR - if I have chome on my desktop open to the same cam from https://www.sexlikereal.com/vr-cam-girls/ it won't be frozen in chrome
I have this same problem on my Quest 2 for more then a month with the cam girls in DeoVR.
Since i lost tokens, because freezing, i do not go prvt or give tokens.
I just hope it will be solved soon.

same issue here
Quest 3 Standalone DeoVR
Just logged 2 tickets regarding freezing on the Quest3 - one SLR (Request 45700) one DeoVR (Request 1307) - though it seems it is the same developer...?
Started noticing the issue also around 4 weeks ago, but OP's post is 1 Mar, so issue must have been since before then even!
This does not bode well for when - or IF - this issue will be resolved anytime soon...
LOTS of both hard freezing and lag/stuttering issues since then. Can stream the normal 8k videos flawlessly, but cam streams is a mess. On Quest3 it just freezes indefinitely and you have to manually quit and restart stream. on SteamVR/PC version the lag is constant on many many cams (but not all), though hard freezing is rare.
Like others said, DeoVR app seems to get the brunt of the issue, but even watching streams on browser in 2D, the lag is still very much there... (DreamCam issue??)
Watching the girl's streams on for example Chaturbate while also checking SLR/DeoVR at the same time - the constant lag and freezing ONLY happens on SLR/DeoVR - so it isnt their or our connections.
One girl i've actually troubleshooted this with and that is having consistent and constant lag issues for everone watching is "sensualkattt" - if you need to see for yourself.
As others have stated. I am also not enjoying this experience at all, and thus not tipping anymore - and it is financially impacting the girls because the PLATFORM can't sort out this streaming issue...
I will see if i can get logs, but PLEASE resolve this ASAP!
put on a headset yourself and test - you will see the issues!
