  • Best 8k scale - Worst 8k scale - by studio

vrtester This is one of the biggest problems for me. I notice and care more about scale over it being 8k. I would watch a 5k with good scale over an 8k giant looking video anyday.
I don't understand how people watch Fuckpass and the US shot VRHush videos. Everything is GIANT. I remember when VRHush first switched to the 8k camera. People wrote in the comments that it looked big. They said they would work on making it better. It never got better. I don't know anything about cameras but after reading things here and there it seems like there isn't much you can do to change the look with that particular camera. I think it comes down to they bought this expensive camera so they don't want to go backwards. I wish they would.

I try to watch +33 because they are the only ones shooting older women but it so hard to get into it when there is a giant human on top of me

      I don't know but I think it's all the same camera that causes the scale looking giant. We have gone back 5 years in what VR should look like because of it. Some company out there has to make a better 8k camera at some point to fix this horrible problem. Just imagine how good all this studios would be if the scaling was perfect.

      PS. VirualRealPorn was great back in the day before they got the 8k. They have been putting out this giant videos for years now. They have to know it looks huge

        rerun119 I've downloaded some of those VRmassage and a Squeeze video or two. I think you're right about the massage...but I've only briefly seen a few of those. I like the setting...so maybe that distracted me from being too judgemental / observant on those.

        I think there is another thread that says it's related to an 8k Canon camera? But clearly, some studios have 8k figured it out. Not sure if they use the same camera with different settings. I mean really -- how expensive is a VR camera? If it causes you have a shit product and loses viewers over time...sell it and get something else.

            rerun119 yeah, was looking again at one of their Melody Mark videos - "After the Film"...one of their most popular according to their website...yeah, distorted. It's on the verge of deletion on my part. As another commenter stated, 5k done well is better then giant 8k - i'll agree. SexBabesVR 5k is better!

              Is it just me? but I felt like the scale of taboo vr looked a little too big. didn't bother me too much tho. Still nutted.

                You probably all know this, but changing horizontal offset setting can improve video scale somewhat. It won't fully fix it, but it made many videos at least watchable for me

                Poor scaling is most obvious in passthrough. But just to complicate matters, passthrough also changes the scale slightly vs real life (for me at least).

                Looking up the lens price from the article linking above says it is 2000$. That might not be the whole price cause is seems to be only the lens. I don't know if they could buy a 7k lens and just fix the scaling problem or if they need a whole new camera. I'm sure they don't want to have to change how they advertise filming in 8k but they should. If I see them bragging about being in 8k then I am skeptical on it looking good.
                To me when I see 8k I think "Oh boy, this might be bad"

                      rerun119 Yes, the whole backtracking...then they'd have to admit their 8k is crap / less then real - which would impact their back catalog and a major marketing point.

                      BUT - some studios can clearly do 8k ok. So...if it's a different 8k camera - just buy it. But maybe studios in question are making $$ hand over fist - or what they make is good enough, so they don't want to ruin it.

                      Been deleting out of scale videos here and hiding those studios...nuking nearly all 8k videos from aforementioned studios. Hey I get more storage space back!

                      VRSpy 8k - I think this is out of scale too. Only recently watched some of these...and 6k is great. So some confusion on my part.

                      VRmassage - also out of scale. [But not VR Massaged - which is mostly 6k?]

                      Somebody mentioned VirtualRealPorn (VRP) - European actress videos are ok...which further muddies the water. I think I concur. Is this seen with other studios? Possibly. But the US-American versions are out of scale.

                      Yeah...unless it's on the ok 8k list, I think I'm just ignoring those other studios now.

                          vrtester The alternative is just to "shut off your brain" and have virtual sex with giants. "Don't be picky!" Curious the long term impact of affect on people's real sex lives -- your brain subconsciously will think -- this girl isn't big enough...so not attractive.

                              Just think how good some of these studios and videos would be if the 8k camera made thinks look NORMAL.

                                Virtual Real Porn is greatest downgrade for me. There stuff from several years ago looks way better than stuff now. Lighting siize of model, etc. They used to be one of the best and then I don't know what happened but they consistently put out trash for a few years now. THeir 5K legit looks way better than their 8k. It's not just sizing tho, it's lighting too.

                                  legitrider020 Have you seen their latest videos? The scale is hilariously bad and everything is extremely distorted. Worse than at any point in the past.

                                    legitrider020 agree virtualrealporn used to be in the top 4 imo for scale with the old cameras. 5k virtualrealporn, sexbabesvr, 18vr, and chechvr had PERFECT scale, better than any studio and I actually prefer 5k scaled properly than 8k with bad scale. A girl looking too big is more immersion breaking that little less resolution. 7k is also decent.

                                    Sadly most of the industry jumped on the 8k wagon and now have bad scale. its quite rare to see a 8k video with good scale, only a couple studios i notice look good are: czechvr, and some slr original videos.

                                        Virtualrealporn has to know that all their videos look way too big. Their viewing numbers have to have gone down over the years. They were at the top and then one bad camera choose and I don't even try to watch them anymore.

                                        The only thing I can think of is that the camera cost so much money and they won't go back or buy a new camera. It's so crazy how companies just ran out and bought a new camera without even knowing if it looks good. Some of the later companies had to know it made things look big and still bought the camera.

                                        Hopefully there will be a new camera that has correct size that these companies can buy. How hard could that be to make it look correct?
