Hairsational how much do you think it would be?
Even if it grows by a factor of 10, which I'm sceptical, it's still nothing.

doublevr I thought it would be even less. Didn't think anybody would use HS to stream from SLR download links with the limits.
doublevr This may be true for SLR for which DeoVR offers a lot of added value. While I prefer to watch the (small) number of videos in HS which I choose to download because of the higher bitrates, I think I would also stick with DeoVR for streaming the rest of the content because of all the features that come with it.
But for other sites for which DeoVR functionality is crippled to the bare minimum? If the sites support it, it's a no brainer to use HS for streaming.

You blocked the API so at this point it's an hypothetical (you can only guess at how many people download and play with Heresphere now and streaming is now pretty much unusable with Heresphere). Besides, if there weren't any Heresphere users why would you block the API in the first place and also why would there constantly be popping up threads about Heresphere support over the years? The number you quoted is more a testament to SLR successfully killing streaming SLR content using Heresphere not a low demand for the player itself.
SchnuppiLilac Yeah this, DeoVR has added some awesome features lately, AI scripts (now also for JAV 
), passthrough, the new passthrough improvements in the new update. Those are some really cool features you'll be missing out on when choosing another player. For me this basically forces me to use DeoVR now.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think DeoVR is a bad player by any means. But I'd personally much rather have a single player for all my content and also things like proper autofocus and better image quality are very important considerations for me.
There are heaps of HS users. It's the player of choice for anything other than VRBangers owned sites and SLR, especially since most of the other VR sites have HS integration. The app store stats also show that HS is really well liked compared to DeoVR:
- HS: 85% 5 star ratings, 9% 1 star ratings
- DeoVR: 30% 5 star ratings, 51% 1 star ratings
It's more of download folks using it with dlna. Completely different userbase
HS doesn't support DLNA but it does support SMB.
doublevr It would be 1000's if you let them use your site. I use it for everything I can.
If you don't think it would be very many people then why don't you let the "50" people use it and see what the numbers become.
I guess there are 2 ways of making people believe someone has the best product.
- See what people like about the competition and try to emulate and improve on it
- Block the competition and act like yours is way better
I don't think DEO is bad but HereSphere has a lot of things that are better.
Right now VRBangers is trying to convince people that they should like the Playa app. The CEO of VRB can also block HereSphere and DEO pretend that the general public should just listen to them.
It makes people mad when someone believes that something is better and you tell them they are wrong
Why don't you guys make more GFE videos for regular videos.
They are very popular but I can't think of one in the last year by SLR
I can think of 30 Stepbrother, Stepmom, Stepdaughter, Stepdad videos.
These numbers don't seem to match what your data says you should be making.

At the end of the day, if Heresphere and other players are given API access it means more people will pay for SLR membership
They will still use the SLR app for certain features that don't exist on HS. And with them using HS API + SLR credentials you still get their analytics
It creates healthy competition and will motivate each other to make a better app resulting in a massive win for consumers
But HS isn't available on Pico 4 anyway so nothing i'll be using

As a fan of mom/son roleplays I concur. I rather have 5 actual mom/son roleplays that go full in on the niche than a long list of hollow attempts like you mentioned.
So imo invest in creating high quality scenes for 'everyone' - be it GFE scenes or whatever but when SLR do a roleplay then go all in and tone down the step-whatever for the most part.

Yeah, basically i just love the simplicity of DNLA and the way Plex displays the folders, also my main computer is a Mac and i'm too lazy to go through all the trouble shooting i used to have when i set up a home network many years ago - Also my laptop is Windows 7 (Best ever) and will possibly ru n into compatbility issues.
Unfortunately i tried my Demo of Herespere and it's still missing DNLA and don't wanna risk paying for something that may be missing this feature.
I have to say it's quite overwhelming to use... i couldn't even work how to make the zoom option faster, as it is far to slow.
Also i couldn't get the UI to auto hide / collapse and had to press the B button which annoyed the flip out of me, and at that point i got irritated and pointless wasting time if it doesn't have DNLA.
I'm pretty sure though that everyones right as there are soooo many option to fix the image.
