  • Enable WebXR on Apple Vision Pro to watch SexLikeReal

mrdiscreet918 It's easy, open the videos at sexlikereal.com (on your pc), sort by newest and then just open a bunch of them in a new tab. Then check the ID (that number at the end of the URL).

You can also check in the headset, by snapping on a video without releasing your fingers, just keep them 'snapped', then it shows the URL too.

To play downloaded videos I use 'moonplayer' https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moon-player-youtube-spatial/id6475702609

Before owning the quest 3 and the AVP, I used to download files to my PC and stream them via a windows share. You can't do that on the AVP it seems BUT you can stream it via DLNA. I tried a few servers including the one that's baked into windows but the only one that worked problem free is "Serviio". It's easy to setup and then you can just select the directory that you want to share and then you can just stream it to your AVP. Works like a charm and the quality is suburb. So no need to save them to your AVP since device storage of course is quite limited on the headset itself.

The only downside with moonplayer is that there's no support for passthrough. We'll need to wait till DeoVR gets their app going I guess.

BTW when playing directly from the Web, if you turn the contrast a litte bit up, it already looks way better. But still, hard to get it perfect, honestly I don't think it's just a matter of tuning the colors, I believe that color information is just missing. I think it just doesnt render all the info that is available.

And then there's the frame rate issue, everything just doesnt feel very smooth. Especially if you compare to a video you play via the web and then download it and play it with moonplayer, it's still a huge difference in quality.

can you teach me how to do this step by step..please make it elementary cause it seems i cant make it work on my own.

i downloaded serviio, i went to library added the folders i wanted to share "example F: drive VR" its been added, i clicked save. i then turned on my avp, and now INSIDE my avp i go to moonplayer, i go to DLNA but nothing shows there? i keep hitting the refresh button but nothing seems discoverable there.

idk what to do, how can i fix this or is there another method to stream my pc files to avp?

harigeharry With Moonplayer are you having an issue where the movie controls don't disappear? They're in the way lol

When I try to move them to the side at least, the audio follows, so now the person is in front of me but her voice is coming from the side. Am I just missing a button somewhere? (sorry, I know you're not tech support for Moonplayer, just thought if it's a quick fix you might know!)

        mrdiscreet918
KEEP THE MOVIE CONTROLS EXACTLY INFRONT OF YOU CENTER

then after that touch your middle finger to thumb = this is the moonplayer command for the controls to appear/reappear

pointing finger to thumb is for everything else like dragging, touching play button an everything else.

now you know for the rest of you life what to do, okaye? got it? good! lol

ssj3vegett0 Haha yeah had to google that myself when I started using moonplayer, not exactly intuitive LOL but then again, once you know it it's actually a nice solution. They should probably just show some help tip to first time users when the user hasnt made that gesture yet.

ssj3vegett0 If you open Serviio, then go to 'status' and then scroll down, it shows "Running" as status? If not you can start the server that way, via that button there at the bottom. The rest of the steps you performed seem good indeed. Obviously make sure everything is connected to the same network. I had problems to get it going with other players but with Serviio it worked pretty much out of the box without problems.

Also supposedly you can use the windows network sharing too, adding it via 'files' but yesterday spent a good while to get that going too, but failed. Just could not have my AVP connect to my windows share.

BTW I just tried AGAIN to get windows network sharing going and this time it actually worked! All I did different from last time is reboot the PC and now it actually worked! So in 'files' I went to the 3 dots to add the server, then just put in the IP of my windows server (192.168.xxx.xxx, so I used the IP instead of computer name, also no "SMB://" in front or whatever, really just only the IP) and then it asked for username/password. As username I just took my admin username (if you open C:\windows\users you will then see a directory with that username) and my windows password and it worked! But again, as Serviio works really well for me already I guess it doesnt add much, though the nice thing is that I can now also use other players that dont work with DLNA.

Of course you need to have configured your windows share and setup your windows correctly, which is a pain in itself but oh well, had that done a long time ago.

So this is a workaround until they can get the SLR player working of course at full quality

neh it just wont work, its shows running in serviio, i only have one wifi network, everything is connected to it which includes my avp an pc, but avp will not show it, and again moonplayer will not discover it.

ssj3vegett0 Too bad to hear. You could try some other DLNA servers, like the one baked into windows. Each server will get their own entry into DLNA so they wont conflict. And then there are some others you can find on google.

                harigeharry

tried 3 so far. Plex, serviio, an moonplayer came out with its own called moonlink

NONE will work for me, nothing populates in the moonplayer media server column where i like to see my VR files from pc to display in avp via moonplayer. everything is on the same wifi network , pc or avp work fine by themselves on wifi, but i cant get them to see one another.

ssj3vegett0 Well if you're up to it, you could try to get a windows file share going. I got it working now. But it's an even more difficult process. If you want to try, I recommend to try to set it up and then first try from another PC if it works. And if so, then try to set it up on your AVP.

Kieshi Any updates on progress for video conversions? I know you said anything above 42998 (although I'm certain I found a couple above that didn't work, at least not at resolutions higher than 1920).

What's the process for earlier videos? Are you starting at the lowest numbers and going up, or working down from 42998?

@Kieshi Also would love to hear how you guys are doing regarding fixing the quality issue's, thanks!

mrdiscreet918 hey, could you please let ne know which video ID you tried and it did not work with higher res?

Conversion is in progress, but as I mentioned before it will take time due to the amount of videos and their size.

harigeharry hi, team is looking into possible improvements and we are keeping eye on the Apple updates, which would immensely help us with development.
As of now, I unfortunately don't have any specific news, but I will get back to you as soon as I have some 🙂

Kieshi Ok thanks for the update my friend. Hopefully Apple will release some useful updates.

I still find this broken in so many ways. It’s like yeah we got higher resolution but all the same bugs and issues remain:
1 you can’t play without muting the volume
2 the controls you need such as settings and the XR mode buttons are on the bottom right of the screen right where the resize app hot zone is so actually selecting them is near impossible
3 the color space is still wrong
