  • Enable WebXR on Apple Vision Pro to watch SexLikeReal

5 days in, at least there’s some progress! There are many here appreciative!

Hi guys, you should now be able to access the videos through our Vr mode from WebXR.

To access it do the following:

Open sexlikereal.com on the browser on headset
Open video you wish to watch
You will see VR glasses button on the player panel.
Click it and Enjoy VR player 🙂

Kieshi That doesn't seem to work yet, I still get the prompt to download DeoVR from the oculus store when i click "watch in VR."

It also doesn't work when clicking the vr glasses. It just plays the audio, without the video.

Can you guys please check once again now?
Click on the glasses button to oven immersive mode and see if it works

Kieshi I'm testing from the main website, not the /hub. I had to tell Safari to use the Desktop site, because I was getting the mobile site for some reason. There is a "Watch in VR" button at the top center of the video player. If I click that, I get a Safari error, "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." If I instead click the play button, the video begins to play in 2D. Then, while playing in 2D, there's a tiny little goggles icon at the bottom right of the video, and if I manage to eye-fuck this tiny little icon, Safari prompts me to allow WebXR tracking, and I'm launched into 3D immersive mode. There's no picture, but I get audio. The hand tracking is incredibly bad. It's nearly impossible to hold the pointer steady enough to register any thumb-index-finger select actions. Nevertheless, I was able to increase the video resolution from 1080 (default) to 1440, and then up to 1920, but the 4k resolutions are not accepted. Again, there's no picture at all, just a grey space.

I'm on vOS 1.1 beta, and I get two different types of behaviors. I have all the right feature flags set.

        1) If I go into sexlikereal.com and try to play a video, I get the goggles at the top of screen to watch in VR, but if I click that, it just gives me options for Quest, PC or Pico. None of those work for AVP obviously.

        2) If I use the Hub address, I DO get the hand pointers but they are terribly glitchy and won't stay active...it keeps switching from right to left hand constantly so not really usable. And since I can't use them to log into my account I can't get further than that.

So at least on 1.1....no dice.

So now hub is starting to work. it plays the first frame of the video, but I can't get it to play. it's better than the great screen though!

Am able to get into hub and view a single frame (mostly by exiting immersive mode and going back in). Other than not playing video, somethings off with the 3D when looking at a single frame. Zooming out it 0.8 helps some. Also can't seem to select 8k or other res. Also need to make sure to confirm cookies pop up which was a little small.

From the regular site, can switch to immersive mode via the VR goggles once video has started, but getting the same gray environment with audio only that others have described.

PantherBack right now only vr player works, not hub.
It has to be watched like a regular website with VR video playback

ultradar please use the glasses button on the player panel, this should do it 🙂

Kieshi Can verify that it’s working now, appreciate the great work! Only things I’ve noticed are the following

          • when doing passthrough, the prompt for camera access does not show up unless you exit the full screen viewer. When you return to normal web view, the video is black and have no options to select from except X on top right. Seems like it get unresponsive with any scrolling or orientation change. Pressing the X Brings up the following error “WebGL error, refresh the page, if the error persists restart your device”

          • All videos regardless of available resolution seems to be capped at 1920, I’ve not been able to get a higher resolution as it reverts back regardless of selection made

          • As you’re probably aware, selection can be difficult, there’s a lot of noise in hand data and using eye tracking to make selection would be ideal here

          • When clicking to bring up the timeline in video, there are times when it just flashes on screen instead of staying persistent like normal. I have verified i’m not doing any sort of miss click when this problem occurs.

Are you telling us to -not- use the /Hub site but the main site?

On main site clicking on goggles just gives me option for Quest, PC, etc….doesnt do anything else.

Or maybe you mean goggles in lower right of video once you start playing?

@Kieshi @doublevr We're getting close! Please let us get higher res. I feel like its the year 2000! We can go from 1080 to 1920 usually but that's it!

Williamstoneright As you’re probably aware, selection can be difficult, there’s a lot of noise in hand data and using eye

Try touching it like you would a tablet or phone

Can confirm 1080p is the max you can select, anything else just defaults back to 1080p and to say it looks bad would be an understatement. The hand tracking and selection is also still very bad and frantic. I dont even know how to properly select anything. Also, pass through is not working, when I do successfully get the prompt to allow camera control, it weirdly puts my live 3D persona as the background with the model overlaid over it haha. When I close safari while a passthrough is playing I get about 1 second of the model in my actual passthrough world, which is enough of a glimpse for me to realize that once this gets fixed, with max resolution and proper passthrough, it's going to be the greatest adult experience on earth. We are getting closer SLR team...cant wait to see what this will be like when it's all ironed out.

doublevr Awesome. Is there an ETA on passthrough to work? For many of us this is the first passthrough headset we have owned, so that is what we are most excited about. I am not a dev, but it seems to be that instead of activating the external camera when selecting passthrough, it selects persona view instead.

crankypants working on that. Currently PT AI and legacy PT (most of the videos) share different logic. Legacy PT should be relatively fast on AVP.

The hand tracking has been improved by I am still unable to interact with any buttons. A prior suggestion in the forum to try to reach out and touch the buttons does not work.

                Vr180 in VP

I'm curious while fapping what happens to your arms while watching vr.

doublevr If the whole thing runs via webXR, couldn't you also activate PT for the GearVR? Would that technically be an extra effort?

MajesticHD gearvr is no go as it's deprecated by meta sdk. No way to make it work. It's over

@"avpOrbust"#p70807 I wouldn't say PT is that great. I would say that here on SLR, it's a bit like the step-porn phenomena. Not that many people actually want it, but because of the bias in viewing algorithms, it seems like it's really popular. Step-porn is cheap to produce because you can basically film in any domestic setting, so the producers are happy to believe there's a demand. PT is also cheap to produce, because all you need is a green (or grey) screen and perhaps also a "slightly damaged" body suit for the male actor. Hence, we are all going down the road to step-porn pass-through hell. I want off this ride, please.

GfLm you have no idea how much green screen studio costs, how hard it's to get one, nor what it takes to shoot.

                      GfLm
I believe your information about the production cost of PT content may be inaccurate. Renting a green screen studio, especially for VR shooting requiring a 180-degree setup, is significantly more expensive than renting a house, for example. Additionally, post-processing for PT content is more complex. I completely understand if someone expresses dislike for it, and it's perfectly acceptable. SLR as a platform offers users the choice of what to watch, while also maintaining open doors policies for different products.

Adrianvr Renting a green screen studio, especially for VR shooting requiring a 180-degree setup, is significantly more expensive than renting a house

I think you are right that renting a studio with a green screen may not be cheaper than renting some porn house for a day. But there are multiple video clips on Twitter from the Simsense Media shoots for SLR where you can get an idea of the green screen set-up. I don't know who owns this, if there is some gargantuan rent to pay or if it's hard to get a free slot there, but the wooden framework with the green lining definitely looks like something that even the smallest production company could easily build with some manual skills and set up permanently at their home base.

doublevr There are broad discussions about this topic online elsewhere so this is probably not the place to discuss it. I was replying to somebody else’s post, which has since been deleted.

Hi, will a fix for better resolution be coming today or later this week?
