Can confirm 1080p is the max you can select, anything else just defaults back to 1080p and to say it looks bad would be an understatement. The hand tracking and selection is also still very bad and frantic. I dont even know how to properly select anything. Also, pass through is not working, when I do successfully get the prompt to allow camera control, it weirdly puts my live 3D persona as the background with the model overlaid over it haha. When I close safari while a passthrough is playing I get about 1 second of the model in my actual passthrough world, which is enough of a glimpse for me to realize that once this gets fixed, with max resolution and proper passthrough, it's going to be the greatest adult experience on earth. We are getting closer SLR team...cant wait to see what this will be like when it's all ironed out.

doublevr Awesome. Is there an ETA on passthrough to work? For many of us this is the first passthrough headset we have owned, so that is what we are most excited about. I am not a dev, but it seems to be that instead of activating the external camera when selecting passthrough, it selects persona view instead.

crankypants working on that. Currently PT AI and legacy PT (most of the videos) share different logic. Legacy PT should be relatively fast on AVP.

The hand tracking has been improved by I am still unable to interact with any buttons. A prior suggestion in the forum to try to reach out and touch the buttons does not work.

      Vr180 in VP

I'm curious while fapping what happens to your arms while watching vr.

doublevr If the whole thing runs via webXR, couldn't you also activate PT for the GearVR? Would that technically be an extra effort?

MajesticHD gearvr is no go as it's deprecated by meta sdk. No way to make it work. It's over

@"avpOrbust"#p70807 I wouldn't say PT is that great. I would say that here on SLR, it's a bit like the step-porn phenomena. Not that many people actually want it, but because of the bias in viewing algorithms, it seems like it's really popular. Step-porn is cheap to produce because you can basically film in any domestic setting, so the producers are happy to believe there's a demand. PT is also cheap to produce, because all you need is a green (or grey) screen and perhaps also a "slightly damaged" body suit for the male actor. Hence, we are all going down the road to step-porn pass-through hell. I want off this ride, please.

GfLm you have no idea how much green screen studio costs, how hard it's to get one, nor what it takes to shoot.

            GfLm
I believe your information about the production cost of PT content may be inaccurate. Renting a green screen studio, especially for VR shooting requiring a 180-degree setup, is significantly more expensive than renting a house, for example. Additionally, post-processing for PT content is more complex. I completely understand if someone expresses dislike for it, and it's perfectly acceptable. SLR as a platform offers users the choice of what to watch, while also maintaining open doors policies for different products.

I think you are right that renting a studio with a green screen may not be cheaper than renting some porn house for a day. But there are multiple video clips on Twitter from the Simsense Media shoots for SLR where you can get an idea of the green screen set-up. I don't know who owns this, if there is some gargantuan rent to pay or if it's hard to get a free slot there, but the wooden framework with the green lining definitely looks like something that even the smallest production company could easily build with some manual skills and set up permanently at their home base.

doublevr There are broad discussions about this topic online elsewhere so this is probably not the place to discuss it. I was replying to somebody else’s post, which has since been deleted.
