Yesterday there was a long news article in a Chinese tech industry publication (36kr) about the severe problems at Pico. Included within the long article (per google translate):

Honkster sounds about right, that why companies should stick to simply manufacturing and selling headsets and not trying to also add an eco system thinking they will make the bulk of their money like apple, specially if you are in china of all places. Unless you are meta, dont expect to make significant amount of money off a store ecosystem. Make good headsets at correct pricing so that anything else will simply be icing on the cake, instead of bad financial news.
