From the few directors I've spoken to, it's a typically a lack of time, budget, and effort. VR also complicates lots of things that are taken for granted in flat porn. It's far easier to pump out scenes on a conveyor belt and for the general public, that's good enough. You can spend the time to craft a 3 hour epic or you can knock out 3-4 smaller scenes that are safer and more reliable. I think at this point, our best hope is to wait for the barriers to entry to get lower so the people with the desire to make certain kinds of scenes have the resources available to do it, because waiting for any of the current studios to make something outside of their formula is just an exercise in frustration. Everyone wants to be an innovator in VR tech. No one wants to be an innovator in VR content.

They have a winning formula and are choosing to not utilize it. Not every scene has to be on the scale of modern relationship. You can release one every month or every quarter while releasing smaller regular scenes in between.

This would indeed be great! My understanding is that "Modern Relationship" was a two day shoot, as Telly has said on here before, so essentially two scenes combined into one big story

It definitely opens up opportunities for more immersive and interesting storytelling. Any scenarios you guys would like to see explored with such a format? I know I can think of some 👀 👀

Modern relationship with 2-3 wives (harem) or with a wife and 1-2 stepdaughters or mom and 1-2 stepsisters.
There are also swap series out there that make things exciting where you could have two son swapping step moms or two stepdads swapping daughters.

Simplest would be to reprise Pristine Edge + Lexi Luna as stepmom and aunt. But this time introducing a younger co-star as stepsis. They performed their roles very well and I'm sure nobody would say no to a direct sequel. Can start off again with Pristine+Lexi in part I, then subsequent parts the stepsis joins to "spice things up"

Another "modern relationship" scenario I can think of on top my head is a scene with a MILF Airbnb hostess+ her daughter.

How about a hot mom of a friend? Like this NAVR classic. The possibilities are endless indeed.
