When i play streaming PT vids from slr site it works fine . But when i try to play same vids but downloaded i just cant make it works . If i can see my room passthrough i cant see the model (i can see just some shadows) and if i see the model i cant see my room ?Am i doing something wrong? Or just its not possible to play proper downloaded PT vids yet ?
Does passthrough works on Quest 3 and downloaded PT videos played with DeoVR ?

Pasthrough on Quest 3 (not including with Quest link) is fully supported, even for downloaded videos
Is the file downloaded form SLR? Does it have _ALPHA in the name?
If that's the case, the _ALPHA tag in the file name must be there. Make sure it's still there, if you're renaming the files. If that's the case, then you should select the A button at the top of the passthrough panel in the video settings.
If the file did not have _ALPHA in the name when you downloaded it, but has a greenscreen background (or other solid color) you need to disable the A button in the passthrough panel and configure the color settings and range, to match that background color.
You're doing something wrong. The PT works exactly the same downloaded or streamed. However, ALPHA passthrough only works streaming on the app. So you have to use the manual PT controls with a downloaded video, but it still works really well...just more time consuming. I've tried a ton of NA vids with PT that way (most of them don't work very well heads up, but a few are insane).

But i dont think i can see A button for some reason ... I tried some manual passthrough settings in DeoVR but i never can get such good results as these when i play same vids from SLR streaming site ...And when i play them streaming i can`t see any passthrough settings values in the player - everything looks like default (zeros) so i cant copy them... Maybe you can add additional settings file to each vid which can be downloaded with the video file ?

Hey guys is there someone else that facing same issue ? My experience is just with the Quest version of DeoVR but not with the PC one ! Seems DeoVR just cant get the automatic PT video settings when i play the downloaded vids ... There is not "A" button at all ! So it requires manual settings and its pretty annoying to try to setup each video one by one ... I havent tried the PC version yet . Please share more about your experience with downloaded PT videos !

The issue with alpha PT not working over DLNA has been discussed here in the forum already some time ago. This is not supported and the _alpha name extension does not help. I understood there is no easy fix for this problem. So if you cannot stream in DeoVR for some reason, the only workaround is probably transferring the downloaded videos onto the headset's harddrive.
Yes i tried and PT vids plays fine from the internal headset drive . I wonder if they play fine via the PC version of DeoVR player too ? Can someone share experience?

No, it doesn't work through AirLink. Does it work through VirtualDesktop? Does it work if you install Unity and Oculus APK? I installed Unity, but I've yet to install the Oculus APK...

There's a way to watch films through the device. Meta has not corrected the copying error for large files via Windows 10 / 11. However, you can copy the films to your device via SideQuest.

But for me most interesting is if PT vids works via PC DeoVR player and VirtualDesktop ? So hope someone share experience ... I could test it in monday at the earliest ...
Even better will be if you can adopt the PC version of DeoVR for proper playback of PT vids via VirtualDesktop . It works now but for some reason the hairs of the models are half transparent regardless of the hair color ... ?! I tried many different VD Passthrough colors settings and couldnt fix this ...

I have observed considerable stuttering and lagging on DeoVR via AirLink. All these problems go away by loading SLR content through the Steam version of Deo.

I'd be grateful for any advice. My version of Deo is 13.12.1.3. I am loading VR content through AirLink on a 3000 series video card and 12th gen Intel processor. I've been playing videos through a USB 3 external HD, attached through a USB 3 port with the correct wire. I have copied the same videos to my internal SSD and the problem persists. Originally there was lagging both for 8K SLR originals, resolved by loading on Deo through Steam. Now I'm experiencing lagging for VRHush and VRAllure. The lagging occurs for both films downloaded via SLR and films downloaded from VRAllure independently. I've installed the latest K-Lite codec pack (MEGA), as well as LAV filters. I have tried playing the same films wirelessly through my desktop, and there's no lagging outside of Deo. I am on a 6e network. Oh, yeah, and I'm on Quest 3. Throughput seems fine, since I can load 65 gig + films. The problem concerns a Deo codec, LAV filter, or a developer feature. Nvidia drivers updated 26 Oct.

same exact problem. Works great when watching videos via sites like SLR, but for any downloaded content, it's terrible and you have the manually try to key out the blue background which works terribly. Sounds like this just doesn't work via DLNA. So how would you get it working? Transferring the video file to the headset directly? How do you do that?
boboweb Are you making sure to note whether the video is alpha or not? Alpha only works on streaming videos through SLR site or on locally stored videos on your headset and is basically automatic. If you are talking about greenscreen or bluescreen videos, those are slightly different and those do work on DLNA you just have to manually enter the numbers on each of the PT fields. Go on the SLR site and look up the video and click on the PT section at the bottom, they tell you exactly what you need to enter for each field.
