Competitor making fake claims

POVR has been claiming:
"We love VR Porn so much, we got every video ever made (seriously). Access it all here."

On their main, front page banner for a while, I've noticed, which is completely untrue. They don't have every video ever made. They're missing plenty of studios. SLR Originals is a pretty obvious one to start with. They don't even have every video from the studios they do host. And many videos shown are not full videos, but just 1 minute previews.

Then they have a fake quote from PornHub (or Porn-Hub as they write it, but that domain name is also owned by and links to PornHub):
"POVR already has every video, we can't do better, so why try?"

I hate stupidity, liars, scammers. You guys at SLR, maybe in combination with PornHub, if you want to contact them.. and other studios who aren't on POVR, who could be losing exposure from POVR claiming they have everything, so there's no point in searching elsewhere for anything more, because they claim nothing more exists that isn't on their site... should do something about this fraud being committed by them.

TemporaryName If you want to, maybe the best way to achieve something is to ask them about it in their forum. I could imagine they claim that from the way they phrase it it's clear that it's just a joke or ironic or something. Moreover, they clearly state the number of videos on their site next to these statements.

If any competitor would try and go against them, this would probably be the best that could happen to them in terms of PR. They will change their claim to: We love VR Porn so much, we got every good video ever made (except those from Sixlikereel because they are crap) - big win and end of story.

I can't complain about their originals because they have some nice scenes with girls I like but, come on 😂

You can. We can make some sort of claim about false advertising. It's not something that is usually done though. One, you'll start a fight with them and they will want to fight back, and two sometimes courts consider that kind of thing as just "fluff"

They likely know how much they can get away with so any kind of legal pursuit would be a waste of time. Anyone that's been in business long enough knows the loopholes.

It's really no different from when you go on a site and are hit with "HUGE flash sale for the next two hours" and then when you reach the join page and it's the same price it always is.

It's kind of like when sites trick you into subbing for another site at some extortionate fee. Best thing to do is call them out in public and make them look like idiots. Honest reviewers, posts on Reddit, it all comes up on Google searches so helps keep companies in check, and everyone should be held to account for their business practices. Consumers have some power these days. Speak up.
