The problem with Passthrough

Bro, I really think the alpha doggy and missionary need work, like a doggystyle position the cam can be to low and in my real environment if I get in doggy position her ass like up by my chest. Zooming don't help and using the height to lower it messes up the image.

Same for far away missionaries or standing mish, if the cam to low she looks hooverd over my bed not laying on it.

They need sum re adjusting in those positions.

Laying cg rcg, can't go to wrong there but sometimes the cam a Lil to high, needs to be lower to guys chest.

Idk, it's a process.
And they need to use actual beds instead of laying on the floor. Imo.

blerp1600 that’s exactly my issue with it and the whole “wait until you get colour passthrough” will do nothing to solve that issue. The only way around it is to make the scenes incredibly restrictive with the whole scene just being in cowgirl which is a backwards step.

People suggesting CG backgrounds, that would possibly be ok if the guy wasn’t wearing a latex gimp suit. Even the grey background was actually watchable until they started putting the guy in a latex suit. Basically, the way they shoot them now, those scenes are either passthrough or nothing and they are starting to take over the site. It must be close to 50% passthrough in the last couple of weeks.

blerp1600 No worries, since the SLR team is now shooting exclusively on the canon system, that means that people like me, who own the canon VR system can also simply take real world pictures of locations with the same camera and tweak them a little to match exactly what you will see. Pictures from the camera will be 100X better than CGI, at least from a realistic point of view, CGI has it's strengths also. Hopefully real pictures will make things even better.

blerp1600 For a huge portion of passthrough scenes, I'd have to actually get the fuck up and stand in those positions, or move around between positions. That might be fun or interesting for some, but I'm not doing that shit.

I personally always really liked matching the positions of the scene in real life, even in my non-PT VR-Porn.

I tend to lay back in my chair or on my bed for any of the Cowgirl/Reverse-Cowgirl scenes, and I use a Fleshlight with a suction cup ('shower mount') on my desk or a sex-doll hip-toy on my desk to pound into when watching Mish, Standing-Mish, Doggy or Standing-Doggy.

Now with these PT releases, already being used to matching the positions of the scene takes the immersion to another level cause it gives the illusion of me really banging her on my own desk, which is hot AF.

So far, I've been enjoying the Quest 2 and don't really need an upgrade to Q3, but if the color-PT of the Q3 turns out to be so much better as I've been hearing, I might go ahead and buy a Q3 just for the color-PT improvements.

I'd be happy if the only positions were seated CG and seated BJ / HJ and lap dancing. Full immersion at the expense of variety, I'll take it.

vrpicasso Given some of us lay in bed such scenes would be and is useless. I recognize that it would be the same if it was the other way around.

I don't know what the solution is though as ever solution I can think of comes with it's own advantages and disadvantages.

All true what you wrote -- AND, for me, 90% of the videos I watch, even the non-pass-through, I skip all the positions except those where the stunt dick is on his back or seated. So, it works great for me.

I have a different problem -- on my Pico 4-- some type of change was made to the Deo/SLR app about a month or two ago and PT doesn't really work right anymore. It was great! It was AWESOME! But not I can't seem to get any of the videos, even those made for PT to actually get the colors to work right.

I don't really know how to articulate the problem or I probably would have posted a question to try to fix it.

I love PT. And I totally understand why you wouldn't like it because you use VR porn differently than I do.

I think getting into the position is probably a very healthy thing to do - it would probably be like a mini workout but I completely get where @blerp1600 is coming from.

petermc but like others have said there is nothing stopping any of us getting into the positions and acting out what it is we wish to fantasise about. It seems many of us just want to consume VR porn in the same way as 2D porn and still have an immersive experience whilst not wanting to fully immerse ourselves into the medium.

The whole AR concept isn't designed to be a passive experience. The idiom 'You can't have your cake and eat it' comes to mind.

Similar to what @Vrsumo2017 said earlier, sometimes I jam my Fleshlight in-between the two seated parts of a couch, then put a cushion over it whilst watching a doggy scene and simulate the doggy position. I probably look ridiculous and I don't know what I would do if someone caught me doing it lol but it's some of the best jerks I have ever had and I am normally out of breath after I have finished.

petermc I assume you don't use a handy? Passive positions work with sex toys, that's just the way they're designed. The Handy moves, to replicate the female movement.

theHobbit of course not if that’s what people want to do. Very early on, before I knew specialist VR players existed, I used to do that on non-passthrough scenes. With passthrough though, even doing that, you have to then line everything up just right every time the position changes which I’d have thought is a bit of an immersion breaker.

I've had enough of that in real life. IRL, the man does 90% of the work in my experience. Okay, maybe only 80%. I watch porn to relax. That's why VR Edging is my favorite studio. Just lay back and let the woman do all the work.

But hey -- I'm in favor of everyone getting what they want on this website. With hundreds of videos coming out every month, there should be plenty for everyone.

MickyCheese Absolutely and I've suggested that before. Honestly, I don't understand how such an obvious thing isn't already built into DeoVR or any other 3D player. It's just a large image no different than a wallpaper (aside from the fact it's 3D) that replaces the passthrough. Obviously it's not as good as a proper video but it's much better than passthrough for those that hate passthrough.

ThePointyEnd the latex body suit is much more of an issue than the background. I could watch the PT scenes in the grey room, it’s not ideal but it was watchable and being able to add a background may have made it more watchable if it worked well. The latex suit though makes it unwatchable as a non-PT scene whatever the background would be.
