Personally I hate the lighting on most of the things we shoot, but I'm extremely critical of all the stuff we shoot so there's that as well. I just checked out the scene (I don't edit SLRO stuff) and I thought the lighting was very natural and the environment felt cozy; I believe we shot this at 5600k but changed the temp in camera to somewhere in the 4000k range.
You can never have too many lights, and it's been something that we've been investing more into lately as it's a pain lighting large spaces like River Lynn fireplace area.
Psychologically I enjoy darker environments as it feels more "real"; some of my hottest memories were in the back of a Ford Aerostar van parked in a lot during the middle of the night, because you know, where else are you going to go?? ⇦(｀∀´)Ψ
I do appreciate that VR is a predominantly visual medium, so more light to see things going into things doesn't hurt; hoping the color graders could lift the shadows but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking about the season attire. Woud you guys be ready to make some movies about the upcoming season?
There are lots of great events coming for February and March. There are of corse, Valentin's day, The super bowl, black history month, women history month, St Patrick's day ...
but what about making a huge Spring Break series.
For example, a group of students going to California for a nice Spring break.
There are so many possibilities: They could go the beach, go the pool, play beach volley, doing parties ...

Among the holidays I quoted, there are only a few ones that are exclusive to America. Spring break is an excellent theme for porn.
But overall, I totally agree with you. It's not only about traditions ... but also the way people view certain things.
For example, most scenarios are made in a way that the characters interract like American people. It is easier for American people to impersonate those characters but we could bring new perspectives to enjoy things differently.
For example, I wrote in the suggestions thread about different fictive scenarios where we belong in a fictive culture. For instance, we could impersonate people from tribes living in a fictive country with different rules and different abilities, power and visions ...
LordCrash Come on now. Think of the all the totally authentic Oktoberfest scenes that have come out, that feature the girl wearing a dirndl and having absolutely nothing else in them related to the festival itself
